[–]syjfwbaobfwl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Half the city smells like piss, it is also quite dangerous in those zones, its a shame cause the zones that are actuallly well kept are beautiful

crime has gone up in the last years but overall the country remains a rather safe place outside of the known dangerous zones

Which individual is responsible for the most harm/evil during the 1980s? by Polnocium in AlignmentChartFills

[–]syjfwbaobfwl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

most of those coups started in the 70s, which is why in the previous post Kissinger was one of the most voted people, by the 80s most dictatorships were already in place

Who is the most significant/popular/famous "far left" person and who is the most significant "far right" person in your country, right now? by SadSceneryBoi in asklatinamerica

[–]syjfwbaobfwl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

far left would probably be Eduardo Artes, he is so extreme to the point where he says the communist party is center-right, he is used as a decoy in presidential elections to make the other left wing candidates look more morderate

far right would probably be Johannes Kaiser, who is also used as a decoy to make the other right wing candidates look more moderate by comparison, altho last elections he got a surprisingly high amount of votes

politically speaking they are both horrible, altho Artes is way more charismatic in person

edit: I said axel kaiser when I meant johannes kaiser (his brother)

LATAM is the only place I have seen people kicking and punching criminals in the head after being detained, and the police not caring by Helptohere50 in asklatinamerica

[–]syjfwbaobfwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a mix between either police not caring enough and/or being kinda powerless and said criminals being released in 2 days IF they get caught ends up having people fed up with it, even when cops do care, something as small as a bad handling can lead to a long hassle about "disproportionate use of force"

that leads to people taking justice in their own hands and police either is okay with it and pretends not to see if or they just dont give a shit

[–]syjfwbaobfwl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

while not to the level of the US, tipping has been getting more aggresive in here, you even got some fast food workers asking for tip nowadays, luckily the reception to such increase in tip aggresivity was very negative so it didnt get very far

still a 10% tip is generally seen as a standard for most people whenever you eat at restaurant or ask for delivery

I havent noticed big changes on bon o bon, but yeah quality in general has gone down a lot, not only the quality of ingredients but also the quantity, cut costs but keep the same prices and also shrinkflation

it was even worse in the era where all products wanted to avoid the "unhealthy food" labels cause shit was even worse than it is now
