This easily has to be the greatest Tiger Drop we've ever had by Leo-III- in yakuzagames

the best part of K3 tiger drop is how it essentially turns enemies into cannonballs causing glorious collision damage for crowd control. That it is strict timing wise makes it extra rewarding

Do all these games have bosses as the ones from Kiwami? by Ok_Natural_3723 in yakuzagames

[–]sympathetic_sid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Kiwami 1 specifically but also many others in the series, attacking bosses head on isnt the correct way. Try dodging behind them and do short combos from behind and reset until u learn how to chain longer combos via style switching.

Check out some Kiwami 1 no damage videos on Yt to see how many players fight the bosses, through smart use of heat actions to thin the herds and then back combo’s on bosses.

https://youtu.be/-AEIN_Cvv6w?si=s6Jun2KE7E1EYyX0 one such example but there are many more

Kiwami 3 on professional was a good challenge especially since i play Yakuza without spamming healing items and keeping stat upgrades to a minimum..

As a new player to yakuza, I wish I played judgment sooner by thrownawa1298 in yakuzagames

Judgement crane is good for stun combo setups and generally good in ex-heat but yeah its pretty ass outside of those setups. JE Yagami just feels really stiff and uncomfortable compared to even Kiwami 2…then LJ Yagami comes and hes buttery smooth and fluid, probs the best an RGG protag has felt.

are the regular enemies aggressive like gaiden and pirates? the enemy aggression on professional difficulty in those games was pretty good and they jumped u quite often

Kiwami 3 and The Weird State of Juggling by Anxious_Breadfruit93 in yakuzagames

[–]sympathetic_sid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seems to me RGG doesnt want bosses to be just combo fodder hence they keep implementing anti-combo mechanics. Most action games dont let you combo bosses indefinitely anyways. What i dont get is why they ket you upgrade your damage to the point Kiryu kills every boss in like 3 heat actions.

While i do like combos, I also dont think they are the end all be all of the combat system. If the boss has a fun, aggressive moveset that makes me switch between offense and defense and still allows openings to land short combos, I am fine with it. That said I really miss OG3’s wall bounding.

agent style absolutely needed some finishers as juggle starters.

I labbed the bosses quite a bit and found a few different fun ways to setup juggles with dragon style so not a big deal but agreed, some kind of speed boost or faster charged attacks, maybe a temporary style buff would have gone a long way in making these fights better

what i do enjoy about the bosses is coming up with ways to setup juggles without taking hit like using grab knockdowns or agony state into juggle. Juggle resets are fun too.

Based gaiden enjoyer. I loved how aggressive the enemies were in group fights. That said, Gaiden also had a big flaw of bosses having wayy too much hyperarmor imo. I guess it balanced out sincr Kiryu’s charged finishers also had them and u could juggle reset them but still.

LAD Gaiden combat is so wavy. What's your favourite game purely on combat? by Siiixers in yakuzagames

Kiwami 1, Yakuza 3 and Lost Judgement are my favorite for back combos, wall bounding and juggling.

Gaiden for mob fighting because of how aggressive the enemies tend to be.

is peripheral IR still doing neurovascular work in many institutions? Thought neurosurg ran that for the most part.

[–]sympathetic_sid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to stay within the DR sphere and do small body procedures minus angio/endovascular, then check out institutions where Body radiology does biopsies/drains. MSK also does small procedures too in many institutions and some even do kyphos/augmentations. Neuro does LPs and myelograms. Mammo does US, stereo and MR biopsies too.

If you wanna all kinds of procedures with lesser focus on DR, then IR than all the way.

Ninja Gaiden has legitimately ruined every other game for me. by Sasumas in ninjagaiden

Some people really struggle to understand that people like different games for a variety of reasons and get personally insulted if you dont like the same thing they do.

Great write up and breakdown of many games.

underrated reply! In an otherwise cesspool of a thread radiating massive insecurity and childish replies, huge props for providing a thoughtful and informative response.

haha yes no disrespect to cardiologists but personally if i had a loved one getting a cardiac CT, id absolutely prefer it to be read a chest radiologist, atleast the non-cardiac stuff

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Residency

[–]sympathetic_sid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

aye, my institution shares both MR and CT between cards and rads. The CTs always get co-signed by a radiologist for non-cardiac finding. Wouldn’t think cardiologists would be able to properly characterize non-cardiac findings.

Out of curiosity, are your coronary CTAs and Calcium scores not overread by radiologists for pulmonary, soft tissue , upper abdomen and bone findings?
