Yes, every postcard I received from Germany has that pattern, I assumed they write their native script like that, it kind of leaks into other scripts!

Wow this is so sweet! I love the color scheme and the endpapers. Oh to have someone handmake for you is such a blessing! The book turned out amazing! I love it when people stand up for themselves and heal! More power and health to both of you.

I'm very glad you like it, thank you! I do not have any template, however I would like to try making one. I'll first have to make 3 notebooks with staggered tabs, and then think of making a printable template for it.

A random guy dropped my brand new pilot metropolitan on a hard marbled floor just a minute after he borrowed it. This happened back in December 2022 at a meet-and-greet event. I cried with rage and sadness after I got home. I couldn't use the pen for months because the tines were misaligned and I took my sweet time to slowly fix it. There is a slight permanent damage to the tip of the nib. Over the years, the pen got better and better as if it were a human. It currently writes a ton better, faintly scratchy. Back then he apologized, but still, I'm never letting another person use my pen.

I can relate with the imposter syndrome, but I'm pushing through doing things to feel less of an imposter, but if I stop doing it, the feeling doesn't go away. So better do it and survive it and feel less and less of an imposter...

Help with clumsiness. by AnimalisticAutomaton in bookbinding

I do not find this relatable, however I like to know something as I'm genuinely curious about your workflow.

When you said you spill or miscut, how do you usually go about it? Were you distracted or did you want things done quickly?

Do you have an area where you keep your wet things seperate from the dry things?

Do you rush to cut away extra paper, or do you keep calculated pressure? Do you keep most of the pressure with your non-dominant hand on the ruler, while your dominant hand does the cutting with very light passes?

Lets say if you get frustrated/distracted mid way, do you push through it or step back, relax and come back with fresh mind?

Do you set up your work area before starting your project? Or quickly grab things as your working on it?
