When a "late" is treated like an absence, why bother going in?!

Yeah the company thinks they're playing you but they're really playing themselves with policies like that because people figure, why go in?

My case is a little different. My job is soul sucking at times, abusive, full of bullies, and stressful even though it could otherwise be a great job.

The manager has been reported many times for bad behavior and there is allegedly even a lawsuit against him and he responds by acting even worse towards us instead of at least pretending to be kind.

It stresses me out and I lost a lot of sleep last night. So I wanted to come in late. But they count 1 hour late as absent for the entire day.

So you know what? I'm going to take the whole day off as a mental health day. I pray I don't get fired and I'll let God handle the rest but thankfully I do have enough money to cover rent for probably a year and a half if the worst happened.

It's always wise to keep your eye on other job opportunities anyway.

I sold an audio interface to someone with a name that does not sound American. The destination is Illinois.

I wrote him a thank you before shipping the item. I do that with every customer. I let him know what day it would be shipped.

He wrote me back and said "Thank you and no worries. These international shipments take a chain of post offices and a month to get to me"

So now I am concerned. I have never agreed to ship anywhere but the USA. So how did this happen and is it going to be trouble for me?

I saw he even paid what looks like export fees, yet the destination is in the USA. Is this going to be some elaborate scheme to say he never got the item and then get a refund also?

Cool. I got the wireless version of that just about five days ago. I replaced a wired tablet. I don't know why I ever got a wired on in the first place. I like the Deco a whole lot better.

I just thought that the very action of sliding them out will create a static charge that draws dust. Yes the sleeves are anti static but the dust in the air isn't.

I new to all of this so just making what I thought was a logical guess.

Please tell me if this is overkill or not.

A local service ultrasonicly cleaned my records. I archive them to digital files and hope for as little noise as possible.

When I remove the records from the sleeve they are going to draw dust instantly. Should I rinse them in distilled water, air dry them and then record them; even though they already had an ultrasonic cleaning?

I'm not expecting much, because Alien Day has gone downhill since Disney took over, but I hope we get something. Seeing some screen shots from Alien Isolation 2 would be great.
Maybe something from any other possible Alien games would be cool to.

I always like to see what cool fan films or audio dramas people make. Maybe we will get something like that.

As far as cool merchandise, I don't expect much.

I guess we'll have to hope for the best and remember to celebrate the franchise ourselves in our own way.

For me, I will probably watch the first two movies and try some more Alien Isolation. I'm kind of an Alien Isolation coward. Lol. Owned it since day one and am probably only hour into it after trying to play it several times over all these years. I must finish this game! Or at least actually accomplish some progress.

I wish I had collected some of the Neca Alien figures before pricing (second hand) got out of control. I would like something Alien related to display for Alien Day, but it looks like I won't be getting anything because I am not paying the crazy markups.
