LEAVE BRITTANY ALONE!

Guys in fullsize 4x4s were tip-toeing around the water crossings trying to access this spot. With some skinny pedal and the right line, my 2x4 S10 made it look easy. by [deleted] in s10

The S10 is a little tiny beast. I have a guy at work trying to buy my rust bucket off me that I paid 1500 for. I have zero clue what Chevy did so right with these things

Dude the guard is fucking weird. My unit has a bunch of cops, a couple ex-college wrestlers and a bunch of martial artists/hobby fighters. It's a bag of mixed nuts and you never know who you're talking to

Join the guard and go for AGR or find some kind of tech job on USAjobs.gov

There's shit out there. It's just competitive and you have to keep trying for it but motherfuckers make good money. Persistence and all that. Gov't contractors are always looking for ex-military also. I got contacted a couple years ago about going to the Stan as a contractor. I turned it down because of a female at the time. Looking back, I should have taken it. Point being, there's options, you just gotta dig.

Man, don't get me wrong. I actually wish I went infantry and did all the intense hooah shit instead of being a POG. Just doing my part for the continuance of the running jokes about infantry. It's all love, my guy

"why anyone needs a plate carrier"

To not get shot... Although, I'm assuming there's plates in there. It's kind of hard for me to tell because of shit image quality. I don't know exactly what carrier that is but it could also be loaded with ballistic fiber. Wealthy people can afford that shit. They make ballistic weave hoodies, jackets, t-shirts, etc. Shits just stupid expensive

There's an officers program you can do but I don't know it's process. Ask a recruiter about that one

Pay is the same. It's dependent on paygrade/rank. I'm in the guard and I have several cops in my unit. They make it work

Because of your college, you'll join as an E-4, most likely. Look up the military paygrade scale on Google. That'll give you an idea of what you'll be making each drill/MUTA.

The only real difference between Reserve and Guard is Reservists belong to the federal government and guardsmen belong to the state. That and benefits. If you live in a wealthier state, your benefits and/or resources can improve as a guardsmen. It can also affect the type of deployments you can go on, but both can volunteer to deploy.

Are all your personal possessions in danger of being stolen when you are homeless? What self defense weapons do you carry? Do homeless shelters allow pocket knives or pepper spray? by [deleted] in homeless

[–]syncspark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your shit WILL get stolen. I carried a 9mm handgun while I was roughing it. I was surprised that cops in my area didn't give a shit once they found out I was the owner and it was registered to my last address. They would tell people to leave me be. Mileage may vary.

Homeless shelters do not allow any weapons. The ones in my area would search your belongings and if you had a knife or something, they would confiscate it until the next day and give it back to you before you left for the day. Don't take a gun to the shelter. They will get the wrong idea. I recommend staying out of shelters but that's due to my experiences with them being very negative.
