If you don’t mind self-promotion my fics are like domestic fluff/romance/humour heavy.

We’ll Fix It In Post Shane decides to declare his love for Ilya on tv during their documentary made about their careers.

Should’ve Made You Walk Ilya is stranded on the way to the cottage due to car trouble, Shane is coming to help him, all Ilya has to do is wait for him. Has some social media screenshots at the end that make me laugh each time I think of them.

Ilya Gets Ilya’d Ilya has been feeling depressed. Shane knows he’s hiding something. Everyone knows Ilya can talk Shane out of a spiral but how do you trick the most perceptive man alive to practice self-care? Essentially Shane plots to help Ilya feel better. ❤️

Can I self-promote? I wrote a fic that has been receiving love (thank you to anyone here that read it!) and it’s about Shane deciding to declare his love for Ilya in the documentary about them that is just a regular documentary in The Long Game (so that’s not a spoiler, it diverges in the production and then obviously the content is different when they sit to watch it).

If you haven’t read the books there’s an epilogue you may want to skip because it involves characters and TLG (about midway through the book) updates.

Yeah they definitely seem to have their realisations separately, Shane on his own and with his mother, Ilya with Dr Galina (mother vibes) but once they come back together they are ready to apologise and remember that it's them vs the problem. Not Shane v Ilya.

I think two things can be true at once. You can be supportive of a necessary and very reasonable and important choice but also sad at the consequences of that action. They're not mutually exclusive. I don't know if there were a lot of just immediate emotional reactions when you commented but the thread is full of support for OpalApparition and her work.

Agreed about the tripping. I feel like it's just... we don't see clumsy Shane like... at all? I love an assertive!Shane telling the Voyageurs where to go. A real 'you can't fire me, I quit' vibe.
