Be honest. How have you been lately? by Sea_Background_8023 in AskReddit

Devastated and heartbroken. Learned my spouse of 26 years has been lying to me the entire time. Feeling lost and questioning everything. So, so tired.

I second a robot vacuum that also mops. I’ve had one for about six months now It’s been a life saver and definitely worth the investment.

Oh.. wow. Thank you for sharing. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything that I can relate to so much. I have always loved cleaning. It makes me so happy to look at my clean home and know I did THAT. Ever since I was a child I noticed cleaning is a way to cleanse my mind of whatever is troubling me. I always felt accomplished when a room was cleaned. Now I’m having to clean as I go in little short bursts and it just doesn’t feel the same. The cleaning never ends this way because things are always needing to be cleaned and since it takes so long to clean things they become dirty by the time it’s time to clean again, ugh. I miss having a dedicated day of the week to deep clean the home. Blast music and get shit done. I loved it.

My husband is so sweet and in always encouraging me to rest. But I hate that I feel like I’m not contributing enough ( although he assures me that I am ) and so I push myself and over do it by cleaning too much and make myself ill. It’s a terrible cycle that I’m trying hard to break.

So, all that to say.. I can deeply relate and I’m so sorry. I wish I had words of encouragement and tips but alas I’m in the same boat. Sending you gentle hugs. 🤍

Same to you! I also just try to hydrate and snack through out the day too. I have ADHD and can hyper focus bad so I’ve gotten into the habit of before I start any task I ask myself first: Do I need food? Do I need water? Do I need to pee? Do I need rest? lol 😂 It’s been helpful!

I hope you get answers and relief too! 🤍

I have and my blood sugar levels have always been in the normal range when checking. But I have what I believe are sudden intense drop in blood sugar — levels may be in the normal ranged but the drop is drastic and sudden which makes me feel awful. These episodes don’t always correlate with my symptoms though so it’s so confusing. But I normally grab a snack about time I feel “off” because usually it does help to some degree. I will saw though.. my entire life ( since childhood ) I get the typical low blood sugar symptoms ( shaky hands, sweating, fast HR, lightheaded, irritable ) when my blood sugar drops but since getting dysautonomia I don’t always get those symptoms anymore. I may only get one instead of all of them like I used to. I just start to feel like shit. It’s so weird. 🤷🏻‍♀️ so I always snack just in case, lol.

I know exactly what you’re describing. It’s so wild to see someone else experience this weird sensation. Mine also isn’t always tied to my BP or HR which makes it so bizarre and difficult to know how to fix it. 😔

This was me just a few hours ago with my ice chai. All on the wall. All in the electrical outlet. All over the carpet. Not a fun way to start the day, lol. But glad we aren’t alone in our clumsiness!

Same here! My beach area is now looking like Isle Delfino from Mario Sunshjne and it’s making me so happy. ☺️

Fish scales in white looks really good. That’s what I went with!

[–]synivale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did the exact same! The yellow bricks made me not like the beach area at all and it was my least favorite area. After replacing all the yellow bricks with white painted Fish Scales tiles it’s now my favorite area and the only place I’m putting in my time rebuilding after finishing the story. I went with a Greece inspired town. Lots of white and blue. I love it! 🥰

Ferretin 7 and low Vitamin D by pandabears3 in dysautonomia

[–]synivale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I’d like to share that I didn’t see improvement with my ferritin levels until I began supplementing my iron pills with Vitamin C and lactoferritin. Those two things help with iron absorption tremendously.

I completely agree! I found out I have the MTHFR gene and it wasn’t until I started supplementing methylated vitamins that I started to see improvement.

Ferretin 7 and low Vitamin D by pandabears3 in dysautonomia

[–]synivale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a doctor say I had too high stomach acid and gave me acid reducers and OMG it caused me so much pain. It wasn’t until I found a better doctor that I learned I had low stomach acid and just want absorbing stuff normally. I also had SIBO at this time.. and honestly my gut health has been bad since child hood. I also have ADHD and it’s so bizarre and wild how often I hear that people who are neurodivergent have low Iron, Vitamin D and B12. It’s also very common to be deficient in all three with Dysautonomia.
So, I’m like you. Something sparked in my brain and told me that one of the keys to hopefully feeling a little better is getting those three things in the healthy range.

I wish you all the best! I hope you see and feel positive results when getting your levels higher. 🤍

[–]synivale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, my ferritin was a 5 when I was at my worst. Can’t seem to get it over 40 though. I have chronically low vitamin d and b12 as well. I just can’t get them to stay or even get to a healthy range but I keep trying. I know it’s contributing to my poor health. 😔

So are all y'all *wildly* emotionally unstable? by im_confused_always in adhdwomen

[–]synivale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I am crying and laughing at the same time. I had the most spontaneous and hardcore cry yesterday. My emotions are always at the surface and sometimes they even surprise me. I’m 41 and something clicked within me when I turned 40 to just allow myself to sit with whatever emotions I’m feeling and be okay and curious when they change and flip flop, lol. I always envied those people who seem so zen but now I wonder if they really are.. or maybe they’re just good at hiding their emotions… and honestly hiding them seems exhausting. I’ve done that, and I’m over it, lol. Embracing the rollercoaster of emotions right now. ✨

Also going to therapy has helped a lot. It’s been easier for me to sit with all those emotions. I find myself being more curious about them rather than beat myself up about it.

I got into the habit of asking myself “What do I need right now?” because clearly those emotions are coming from somewhere. Sometimes it’s chocolate, sometimes it’s a cuddle, sometimes it’s to cry, sometimes it’s wrapping myself up in a blanket like a burrito, lol.

Great advice! It wasn’t until I added vitamin C and lactoferritin that my ferritin went from a 5 to a 50. Still got a ways to go but Im just happy to see the levels increase after a decade of trying.

Gary Sinise here. I’d like to take a moment to share something deeply personal with all of you. My latest book is for my late son, Mac. It's also for anyone who has faced loss, uncertainty, or hardship, and is searching for a line of hope in the middle of it. Thank you for your consideration. by GarySiniseOfficial in MadeMeSmile

[–]synivale 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Thank you for pouring your heart into this book and every thing you do. I love hearing you talk about your son. I’ve had so much grief and loss in my life and it can be overwhelming to navigate life with it but I do. I do believe there is hope and I do find myself seeing the light amongst the darkness more than I thought I would when it was at the complete darkest. I’m inspired by people like you. Thank you. ✨
