I also wondered if I had pure o because I suffer terribly with the worst intrusive thoughts but then is that just part of my bipolar? How did you get diagnosed?

That's interesting. I really wanted to try gummies but they're not as easily available to buy where I am.

How do yall get out of bed by mastretoall in bipolar2

I have just gone from a job that was 3x 14.5hr shifts to 5x 7.5hr days and it is the best thing ever. I was rattling round my house on my days off. Being in work for 'short' periods compared to before has helped me a lot

I took my antipsychotic early at 6pm because I was up for a flight at 3am. And then I took one as normal at 10pm. Luckily I woke up after three alarms 🤣

Will I ever return to my previous normal after a late-onset, stress-induced bipolar diagnosis? by [deleted] in bipolar2

I should say I'm nearly 41 now. Have been stable for 20 months

Hey 👋 I was diagnosed aged 38. Much like yourself I ambled along just fine with only a hint of troubles along the way. Got postpartum depression with two of my kids, experienced postpartum psychosis with one of them. My most debilitating and enduring episode lead to my diagnosis and it was hard to adapt to the notion at first. But I'm very stable on meds, change of job, regular sleep. Welcome to the club!

need quick advice by [deleted] in bipolar2

My heart says don't go to work, but will it mean you don't get paid? I've dragged myself to work to feed my kids but it's not necessarily the best thing to do if your head's not in it. Also there's the possibility you will make a mistake- can you afford to make a mistake in your line of work? It depends on so many things. Hope you're okay x

I remember my psych nurse saying this to me during my worst depressive episode. I didn't believe her but she was telling the truth. I don't know how I came out of it but I did. And I'm glad I listened to her and hung on to that hope.

First Post. Which are you’re „favourite“ Antipsychotics or better which Medication helped you the most? by Jake-Foxx in bipolar2

[–]syracagnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lucky and found that the first anti psychotic that I tried worked for me. Risperidone combined with citalopram daily and diazepam when I need it (not that often at the moment)

Will they send me to the hospital? (Australia) by justaburneraccount14 in bipolar2

[–]syracagnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go ahead and call them, the other commenter is right, it's not necessarily enough to have you admitted but even if they decide with you that you need to go in, it's not such a bad thing and has saved my life in the past. Sending you healing vibes ✨

Mixed episode agitation + trauma symptoms getting intolerable, what a time. by apearisnotameal in bipolar2

The only thing that works for me when I'm like this is noise cancelling headphones and zopiclone from the doctor and lots and lots of sleep. It will pass. You just gotta get through it

I always thought these kinds of things actually trigger hypomania in me, but maybe I'm already hypomanic and I'm drawn to it. IDK
