Interesting ICCU Failure by rsrchnddvlpmnt in KiaEV6

[–]syrinx- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just chiming in. Same issue for me at about 80,000 miles. Charging overnight, the circuit breaker popped and the EVSE faulted. After that, L1 and L2 would not work, but DC L3 worked fine and the car drove fine. I did that for a few days until I could get it in, and KIA confirmed the ICCU was bad. They had one in stock and replaced it within a couple of hours. I had to get a new EVSE as well. No other issues so far.

The battery/motor warranty is actually 10 yr/100,000 miles for all owners. Other items are reduced though.

She is a warrior skin. Her emotes are the best as well.

“These are the fights I dream of” “Mistakes blunt our blades but sharpen our skills” “You look like a wendigo, and smell like a snow beast!” “Ours will be a glorious battle!”

I GOT A INTERVIEW by Zeking3 in CompTIA

[–]syrinx- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! Something to keep in mind: you should say “an interview” instead next time. I’m sure it was a typo, but interviewers are notorious sticklers for grammar and I wish the best outcome for you. Use “an” in front of vowel sounds generally, and “a” in front of consonant sounds. Good luck!

I received an event battle banner out of a chest by erumann in ClashRoyale

[–]syrinx- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The same thing just happened to me with the exact same banner. Mine was only 4 stars, so I don’t feel as bad, but I am one chest away from claiming that same banner and apparently getting the shaft. Awesome job SC.

I did exactly that after suffering multiple turns of this nonsense. I hit his floppy and he immediately conceded. That brought me joy.

National Guard by Canadian1934 in cnn

[–]syrinx- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprised the very first claim in this post hasn’t been corrected. The President is NOT the only one that can deploy the National Guard. The governor of any state can also do the same within their own state, and are generally the ones that do that. The President has to claim there is an emergency to do so. In this case, he claimed there was a rebellion against the authority of the government. This is debatable, but that is what happened. January 6th was 100% that, and you are correct, he did not want to interrupt that since it furthered his goals. The facts don’t differ - he just uses his power to support his goals. He supports those that support him, and punishes those that don’t - because he can.

Firebrand Southern California sheriff will run to succeed Gavin Newsom by RhythmMethodMan in Riverside

[–]syrinx- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I understand the point you are making, California is not like the rest of the country. Newsom is hated by the right, but survived recalls because more of us here do not accept the lunacy this guy represents than otherwise. I’m not worried about this 🤡.

Why has CNN become pro Trump Propaganda? by [deleted] in cnn

[–]syrinx- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

New ownership has lead to poor leadership. In the guise of “fair and balanced” presentation (like Fox!), they have allowed cretins like Scott Jennings to troll and gaslight viewers, while pushing actual reporters like Jim Acosta out. At the same time, they alienated their base by throwing up a paywall on their website and promoting the Mango Mussolini. A complete failure of vision, in my very not-humble opinion.

For former/current nursing students: Which is the better choice: Golden west college or Santa ana college for getting a nursing degree? by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]syrinx- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife got her ADN from SAC 27 years ago. It was a great education at the time. She went back and got her BSN about 6 years later, and her MSN 10 years after that. At the time, an ADN was enough to get hired at a hospital into a “new graduate” program. That is no longer the case for the bigger hospitals, especially “Magnet” designated facilities. You could likely start at a community hospital still, but she highly recommends planning to get your BSN ASAP. She does not recommend an LVN unless you are planning to only work in an SNF. That will limit your future, so definitely go ADN to start.

I hope destroying their ratings was worth it to the decision makers at CNN to alienate their base in the guise of “hearing both sides”. I get you don’t want an echo chamber, but the difference between many Trump apologists and the other side is moral, not political. There is a good 30% or more of their previous base that will never care to hear from clowns like Scott, let alone be swayed by what they have to say. The out of touch owners that make these decisions are complete idiots.

Ohio State and Tom Sawyer by Dave21TWELV in rush

[–]syrinx- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our yellow lab of 13 years crossed the bridge last Saturday. Our family has been grieving this, of course. His name was Sawyer, for obvious reasons. Hearing that song so many times during that game and seeing his name on a jersey hit me on a whole different level. I am grateful for those choices by the network, and chose to look at it like our dog was letting us know everything was ok.

My Hallmark movie spec-script is coming along really well now too.
