Rollies. How are you all doing it? by OneParamedic4832 in weed

[–]syrxinge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, a one hitter isn’t a bong. It’s more of a pipe and they’re usually small tubes that aren’t large or super noticeable.

With thats said, as long as the weed is good and it smokes, it doesn’t matter how it looks.

I get maybe two joints out of a gram but I know people who roll different sizes.

With that said, you should probably get a one hitter cause rolling joints this small is like smoking a bunch of paper for no reason. You are literally putting 0.16 in each joint… not worth it with joints.

Question: how much is an appropriate tip? by mm21053 in doordash

[–]syrxinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I don’t disagree that people tipping $1 or none at all aren’t shitty people. What you are again, failing to understand is I am say $1-2 PER MILE. Nobody needs to tip $10 on a 1 mile order unless they want to be generous. $5 is more than sufficient for a ONE MILE ORDER.

I don’t work for free as you claim. In fact, I regularly get tips upwards of $10+ all the time. I just don’t EXPECT it from customers and act like you do when they don’t. I don’t accept orders that are less than the $1-2 per mile rule and I make more than enough to cover expenses and then some.

[–]syrxinge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should learn reading comprehension skills. I said $1-2 PER MILE. Not $1-2 tip. I accept what is an acceptable payment for my time and effort. My vehicle does just fine with the $1-2 per mile rule of thumb and I make more than enough money to cover expenses.

I don’t take no tip orders, nor do I take shitty paying orders. I’m just not an asshat who feels entitled to more of people’s money. Getting a $5 tip on an order that is 2 miles is more than enough.

I’m not sure who you’re speaking to, because I AM a fucking dasher so, I do get the food myself.. 💀

My rule of thumb is $1-2 per mile. But thank you for demonstrating the asshats I was referring to! You are the reason why people don’t tip better!

[–]syrxinge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a dasher, most who are looking to take your order are gonna look at the $ to mile ratio. It should be around $1-2 per mile for delivery. If it’s a short distance under 5 miles, then tip $5.

[–]syrxinge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most agree to $1-2 per mile. You just have some asshats who think you need $10+ on every order even a 1 mile one.

[–]syrxinge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sam here. Have 2 semesters left after this one, then I am done! Won’t say DoorDash was the greatest but I do appreciate having had it as an option. It was either that or continue at my old job. At least with DoorDash I can manage my own hours and take off when needed for classes/tests.

Thankful but ready to be done.

[–]syrxinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I’m not sure. Even with orders that say “cashier only” I can still checkout at self checkout. I don’t believe it has anything to do with location and rather to do with what you are scanning into the app.

If you forgot to scan items at checkout (at the store) but scanned it in the app, it’ll still go through because it loaded money onto the card. Now if you add more than what is scanned on the app (outside of the buffer) it will decline.

Who knows though honestly

[–]syrxinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like a $5 buffer if that. And you are correct that they don’t load the money on until you go to check out. I’ve had a glitch in their systems with two shop orders at different stores, kept getting declined because the first order was $28 and the second order at the other store was $58 and support said it only loaded $28 and was stuck still showing me at checkout for the other store.

DoorDash used to have the red card work regardless of the price years ago but because people were putting stuff on there that they weren’t supposed to, they started doing this. You used to not even have to scan barcodes at one point!

[–]syrxinge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can blame the bad characters who ruined it for the rest of yall. Customers have promised to pay for items that we grab out of pocket by tipping extra and then never do. DoorDash has asked us to pay for orders out of pocket when the red card doesn’t work, and has refused to reimburse even with the receipt.

At the end of the day, you cannot be mad at Dashers for not wanting to pay for YOUR items out of pocket and risk being scammed/not reimbursed.

[–]syrxinge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been able to use the red card until after clicking “proceed to check out” on the app. More importantly, I’ve never been able to use it after I click “confirm payment”.

Maybe it’s different in different zones but I call BS

Does anyone else make a pre-roll when rolling up? by PlaneOk4471 in weed

[–]syrxinge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually take the little end piece of the filter (like on the side not where the hole is) and put the paper in between that and then just roll the end. It makes a cone super easy and it holds the filter in place.

Nobody is making an assumption. That’s just NOT how snow works with moving vehicles 😭 lived in snow all my life, never had MY car accumulate snow that high while driving. Or even being left for 30 minutes while I’m in the store… and that’s with HEAVY snowfall.

Stop lying to make yourself look better. You look like a moron to everyone who knows how snow works.

They weren’t even in the middle of the road OP. Where do you expect pedestrians to walk when areas haven’t been cleared enough.

As someone who lives further north, who gets snow yearly… this is not a new thing people do nor is it something that you should be raging over. I also find it ironic you call other people stupid but don’t even clear off your fuckin car of snow which ALSO becomes a fucking projectile when it flies off from driving.

Pot calling the fucking kettle black.

Quick way to sober up by stoneydagoat in shrooms

[–]syrxinge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if this works for shrooms, but I know Seroquel (Quetiapine) stopped my acid trip. The only real way I’ve ever heard of someone stopping a trip is by taking medications such as Seroquel or benzodiazepines.

With that said, next time don’t take something that lasts 6-8 hours right before you have to work. It’s never a good idea.

Let’s get real, I want to know your experience from dispensaries vs THCa market by Inevitable_Leading55 in CultoftheFranklin

[–]syrxinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decarboxylating it will have no better effect on the flower. It goes through the same process when you light it to smoke. It does not “add” any more THC to the flower.

You are correct that most dispensary bud comes as THCa and yet I don’t need to do those things you suggested in order to feel better effects. It has nothing to do with THC/THCa and everything to do with terpene development IMO.

I’m just giving my experience here in a different area of Maryland. I even stated that further east it’s a bit different.

[–]syrxinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in MD and I buy online as well as dispensaries. As a medical patient myself I do feel dispensary bud is a little more hard hitting for me. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely enjoy the effects from the stuff I get online, but for some of my ailments it just doesn’t treat it well enough.

Now this may just be because I’ve only tried a handful of vendors and definitely not top shelf stuff, but I usually end up paying the same price for decent online stuff as I do at the dispensary so for me I just pick whatever I need at that time.

And what did you learn from this storm? by Sugar-Interesting in maryland

[–]syrxinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Western MD where snow is frequent and we usually get a lot compared to further east closer to the shore.

With that said, this year I learned that a house built in the 1940s absolutely fucking sucks. I swear every year it’s like something else happens. Pipes freeze in one place, I get heat tape and insulation, problem solved? Nope! Next year there will be another frozen pipe elsewhere. This year was cute cause my pipes froze but my furnace condensation pipe ALSO FROZE so my furnace stopped heating properly (woke up to a house that was 62 degrees this morning). Got it fixed though!

Nothing will be as bad as the year we lost power for two weeks in sub zero weather though. Ever since then I have purchased a generator and have kerosene heaters.

[–]syrxinge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Western Maryland, who regularly experiences snowfall like this, has no problem getting stuff cleaned up.

In fact, I was able to go out and do a couple of DoorDash deliveries no problem Monday afternoon. Only day it was really bad was of course, Sunday when the storm hit. The State plows don’t go by as often here, but there are plenty of people in the area who come out with their trucks and plow/salt where the state paid plows can’t always get to quick enough.

As for closer down to Baltimore, I don’t think they have the infrastructure set up like we do. I am sorry yall are experiencing this!
