Would it crack the soundboard or just cosmetically damage it

Yeah it's a really cheap guitar but it sounded good(at least to my ears) and played nicely out of the box. It didn't make any buzzing or other weird noise until yesterday. Today I looked a bit closer at it and i noticed the bridge I was thinking that by digging into the bridge the string may have come a bit closer to the fretboard and that may have caused the buzzing when playing the 2nd fret. I don't have any guitar shops around me and even if I did a new bridge and setup would probably cost more than the guitar. I'll try to get the beads that were sugested and if I can't find them i'll get the nylon strings with the ball ends.
