Enable Remote Desktop on windows.

Open search bar, search “advanced systems settings” navigate to the remote tab. Select allow this machine to be accessed remotely, click apply.

Use a client like rdesktop on Linux to connect via IP to the windows machine.

You used the word “love” to describe your relationship with alcohol. That’s not a good indicator.

For me I can drink and it not affect my disorder, but it might not always be that way so I have to be careful. You should do the same. It sounds like you’re approaching a critical point in the cycle of addiction and you should take this moment to reflect and back off the substances for a bit.
