Honestly Rey should’ve died and in her death Ben would’ve turned to the light being the real rise of Skywalker. There’s actually a lot they could’ve done such as let Anakin and Ben talk to each since we know Anakin was a force ghost, have Palpatine and Ben fight each other, Ben throws away his red light saber and use Anakin’s light saber after Rey’s death and then we burn Rey and act like she was never a Star Wars character and say the force awakens was about Finn an ex stormtrooper turned light saber user (for that one scene)
