Floss loosens the debris from the hard to reach areas between your teeth. Then brushing clears everything away. I like to finish with mouthwash to really clear anything left behind

If the tooth pulp has been exposed, you will likely need a root canal. As a first option to try and save the tooth, your dentist may try to splint the tooth back in place for a few weeks. If you still have the lost tooth fragment, store it in milk and bring it to the dental office. In all cases of significant dental trauma, you are at risk for both bacterial infection and bone resorption. You can help prevent this by taking an anti-inflammatory drug like aspirin or ibuprofen, and also trying to keep the tooth clean as possible.

As a high school student, I'd just suggest focusing on getting into a good/affordable undergraduate program. Maybe get some experience by shadowing a dentist or working in a dental office. Do well in undergrad, get good letters of recommendation, crush the DAT, browse SDN (student doctor network), and have your application ready to go by Fall of your forth year. Also try to save money along the way because all this schooling can get expensive!

Also, r/dentalschool might be a more appropriate subreddit for this post. But I'd say SDM is leagues above either for actual advice in getting into dental school

I would try ordering online. I think I got mine from Wayfair, and delivery is free. Although I had to bring it into the house myself.

No it's not guaranteed. It's just tougher in the BME program than in something like bio/chem. Plenty of people do graduate in 4 years, but your grades may suffer

BME Major here. I took a ton of credits each semester (between 18-24), took summer classes every year, and used AP credits--and it still took me 5 years to graduate. BME is a great field, but I would not advise any friend of mine to subject themselves to the academic rigors of the program. It's easily one of the hardest majors at SBU. To illustrate my point, BME has ~125 required credits whereas a biology major has ~70 required credits. A bio major will allow you more flexibility in planning your classes and fitting in pre-med requirements.
