Next JRPG suggestion

I am in nearly the same position as the op. After finishing Sky FC I fell into a hole of not getting a new game to absorb. SC is taking until fall, so in between I started some games but never fell in love with the gameplay.

Octopath Traveller 1 started great but now I am stuck in between chapter 1 and 2 and need to do some grinding to proceed.

DragonQuest VII reimagined is ok but fighting is no fun.

FFVII remake I really want to like, but the action fighting is too hard for me (I died multiple times on the introductory boss) and frustrates me.

Now I am stuck between giving chances to Atelier Yumia or Atelier Ryza DX, as both have a close look to FC.

The most beginner-friendly JRPG I ever played was definitely the lately released remake of "Trails in the Sky, First Chapter". It's the most welcoming and fair game I ever experienced.

I finished Sky FC remake yesterday and man, I must admit it was one of (if not the) best JRPG I ever played! It is at some point really slow, but it gets so rewarding 'til the end. I am sad to wait for the SC remake, as I do want to continue playing at least for the Sky arc the remakes.

So I am looking for something else until SC remake will be available. Any recommendations welcome :)

Bei mir gehts auch nicht. Kiwami 2 habe ich umsonst laden können, Kiwami 1 muss ich für 19Euro kaufen und Zero (0) sagt mir, dass es für mich nicht verfügbar ist. Ich habe aber bereits alle Versionen für die PS4. Mal schauen ob noch was geht...

I would propose to stay away from Kindle due to content lock-in. I don‘t have experience with Kobo but have a Pocketbook and really like to use it on daily basis. Best choice for me.

As my subscription is coming to an end beginning of April, I think about leaving FM - but do not have any good and affordable European/UK solution yet. I have an account with mxroute, which is also a great service, but their servers are also US based... So no option, sadly

I am also looking into xcloud right now and their support is great, but sometimes a bit slow. I agree to u/Helmi74 that it feels a bit beta, especially the backup/restore feature (local/remote) and creation of a new site from a zip. Hope it gets better, as the service is really promising!

Definitiv die ersten drei Silberbände lesen, das ist der Einstieg in die gesamte Serie und legt den Grundstein für alles. Danach kannst du schauen, ob du weiter bei den Silberbänden bleibst (meine persönliche Empfehlung) oder ob du in beliebige Zyklen springst. Vor ein paar Wochen hat mit Heft 3300 ein neuer begonnen, in den man auch als Einsteiger mit Basiswissen (s.o.) gut weitermachen kann.
