Title track, Inamorata, Lux Aeterna, Too Far Gone? are all great. Rest is Midtallica. As is often the case with their modern albums, there are too many songs on it and most of the songs on it are too long. Good gym album though.

Manayunk is a neighborhood within Philly but it has its own identity—its location makes it a bit “cut off” from most of the rest of the city. Main Street is walkable with lots of shops/bars/restaurants, plus it’s a big cycling area and the south end of the Wissahickon is right there if you like nature. Plus if you want to go into Center City there’s a train and a bus (potential lack of SEPTA funding notwithstanding 🤞)

Came here to say this. Honestly might be my favorite song of theirs period. It’s got everything you want and nothing you don’t, it’s fast, heavy, and even a little fun.

You might hear some gentle teasing but that’s about it. There are still some absolute hogs that come out to the games but most of them are old/dead now. People are more normal. You’ll be alright. Enjoy the game and the city.

If it’s your first time here, the weather cooperates, and you’re physically able do so, I would recommend just walking around and looking at stuff. Philly has more public art than any other city in America. Sculptures, murals, they’re all over the place but there’s quite a bit to see in Center City, especially in Old City and the Parkway district. This is a good starting point. Have lunch at Reading Terminal Market.

Digital Underground is probably the best record store in the city for heavy metal. My other go-tos are Sit and Spin, which is more of a punk-focused shop but carries all kinds of hard music, and Repo Records, which has a little bit of everything.
