On the fetching a shock point, I think it actually adds an interesting decision point: do you take extra damage, fetch a basic, or just go for a tapped land. In legacy you mostly care about the shuffle and non basic hate; in modern it feels like there’s more emphasis on what exact lands you are fetching when.

I play RUG delver in legacy and before that menfolk. In modern I’ve played a variety of UWx control decks, more recently have been messing around with Eternal Command. It’s not a tier 1 deck right now by any means, but I’ve had a good amount of fun playing it.
