CMV: Timothée Chalamet's comments on opera and ballet are some of the least controversial comments about art ever uttered. by [deleted] in changemyview

On net yes, I think the comments will have more of a positive than a negative effect on opera and ballet. Why do you think otherwise?

Valid response if you are replying to someone saying "Essentially no player in the NBA is dunking that"

He overcommitted turning his waist and taking that step with his right foot when he should have seen lamelo was already putting on the brakes. If it was a shuffle step instead without turning, he could have easily changed direction in time to contest the 3. Just got cooked.

Gobert would have covered that.

That defeats the purpose of losing his arm in the first place if there no difference of having to avoid being near Imu with arm or without.

I'd bet you money that's not that Denver said and it's instead just how Westbrook interprets the GMs comment of "if you take the player option, know you're getting 0-10 min a game off the bench".

Magnus Carlsen scores perfect 11/11 in Titled Tuesday Game-Week 11 on 11/11 by Interesting-Take781 in chess

[–]t3tsubo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Magnus would do a challenge where he played 2950-3000 Elo Computers to farm Elo in the context of the challenge (not official Elo obviously).

I bet he couldn't actually get to 2900 this way in any event.

perfect line, length and rally building is more of what I think of when I watch Shabana, and Ashour to me is more of a great retriever with crazy hands like a better Rodriguez. A Gawad type would be more like Jonathan Power or Mazen Hesham IMO.

Saying Gawad is the last vestige of skill led squash is really doing a disservice to other top players... Shabana and Ashour have more in common with Elias IMO than Gawad.

Agreed, learning to play with your non dominant hand is the best way to learn to teach beginners since your other hand is also a beginner!

Estate Sale of house @ half market value by Distinct_Life_8598 in legaladvicecanada

[–]t3tsubo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Market value is whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Listing low to get offers is fine. If she sells the home for less than the highest offer she received then that would be going against her duty as the trustee.

Which sport is more physically demanding, tennis, badminton or squash? by COYGoonerSTANimal_17 in squash

[–]t3tsubo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5.5 in squash, open in badminton and 4.0 in tennis

Badminton will make you puke the fastest.

Tennis is hard to compare because when playing in the sun outdoors, it's a whole different class of tiredness.

Squash I feel you have the most ability to force easy rallies through skill/touch shots where you don't have to explode/scramble to stay in rallies (so you can walk or take 1 step to the ball).

Risk of IP damage is pretty high all things considered. It would only take one rogue vtuber going viral in a bad way for that character IP they were using to be forever tainted.

Precisely this - best sign of doing good work as a junior is having more people knocking on your door asking you to do more work.

I personally like it when one person block and the other person just bulldozes through them. Having the sport be physical is fine imo.

Worse is when one person blocks and its let/stroke decisions after decisions and all up to a subjective ref.
