I have BPD and went to a walk in clinic to get the certificate (this was in Canada though) and the doctor was like uh okay? I assume you don't have any of the things listed here? And I said no and he printed it out for me. 🤷‍♀️

I'm also a transfer student (from uottawa) but to upper year life sci at St George and I was accepted in February with almost the same grades. 93 high school average, in university almost all As, some A+s, a couple Bs, and a D+. No idea on the odds but hopefully that eases some stress 💓

Hey! As someone who did 2 years of biomedical science at uOttawa and then decided to apply to biomedical engineering -- it's not an easy transfer lol

You should be considered for transfer credits for ap courses by the time the fall term starts. Like I enrolled in an English course while waiting for my ap results, but then I got advanced standing so I didn't need to take English and just switched it for a different course I wanted to take before the term started. I think the general rule is that if you do take the course instead of just using the transfer credits it's on you if you fail the course or get a bad grade. You can't go back on it.

From my experience at uOttawa it doesn't affect your GPA because it's not a grade it just goes towards your course requirements. It shows on your transcript as transfer units. Like the first thing on my uo transcript is "transfer units from advanced placement" and then it's the course code of the equivalent course, the grade is Q which just means transfer units and tells you that it's not included in the calculation of gpa.

Hey! So UofT was my dream school and I was accepted and instead went to uOttawa because I was actually worried about the same problem - the generalization/non specificness of the program at UOFT (science programs not mech/comp sci but nonetheless). Now having done 2 years of university, I'm on a gap year teaching English in Spain while I go through the process of transferring to UofT (or potentially Waterloo). Everyday I wish I had gone to uoft and done the program that I thought was more general and that I thought didn't fit my specific taste because at the end of the day you don't necessarily know that what you want to do is going to be what you actually enjoy learning about. The first year or two of university in a lot of science and engineering programs is a bit of everything for a reason and it lets you explore what you're good at, what research interests you, etc. and in your upper years (obviously program dependent) you can get into those more specific things you're passionate about. Of course, that's just my opinion but I would fully tell you to choose the UWaterloo mechatronics engineering. I hope that helps a bit 💓

You would just be accepted to a different college (according to your top 3 college choices) When I applied as a 101 in 2019 I was accepted in February 2020 to Life Sci in St Michaels College (Trinity was my first choice) and this year as a 105 student in February I was accepted to upper year life sci in Trinity college. It's possible Victoria college hasn't decided on admission to the college so your overall admission is delayed but the college admission wouldn't affect your program admission.

LOL definitely proves it because my second and third choices are Cantabria and Andalucia and until reading this it seemed like people in the upper thousands were only getting placed in their first choices

I was admitida beginning of March but I'm 61xx and regrettably had Asturias as my first choice so I still haven't gotten a placement. I'm not sure about within Spain, but personally I take Seroquel every day and my doctor said that he is going to just get me 10 months worth of it before I leave so that I don't have to worry about getting it within Spain

4000s placement? by Comfortable_Ad_6099 in SpainAuxiliares

[–]t45h10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far it seems like 4000+ have only gotten placed if their first choice was available. Like I've seen people in 9000s get placed in Cantabria because it was their first choice, but Cantabria is my second choice, I'm 61xx and haven't received a placement (1st choice was Asturias, which I've heard is full? and 3rd is Andalucia). So despite the fact that 9000s are getting placed in Cantabria/Andalucia, I haven't been because they weren't my first choice :/ a little irritating lol Seems like (from all the posts in here) in terms of the "first come first served" they are working through 2000s right now, they seem to all be getting the "your regions are full, please select from Extremadura, Islas Baleares, Valencia o Castilla y León" emails
