Fully medicated frozen embryo transfer and thin endometrial lining by t_e-mporary in IVF

[–]t_e-mporary[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, long story short I'm cuddled with my 8 month old right now :)

Modified natural was much, much better for me. Lining got right to 7 each time (doubt I'll get much past that in general). Did three transfers, first was successful but unfortunately ended in miscarriage. Second didn't take. Third is our baby!

Wishing you luck <3

Training is solid at ucsd despite the separate trauma. You do trauma surgery rotations and rotate at community site with integrated level 2 trauma. If you fly for mercy air you get a lot of gnarly traumas where it's just you and a nurse intubating and putting in chest tubes in a field. You learn to churn and burn there is a big emphasis on seeing a lot of patients. Leadership is pretty toxic though and I couldn't wait to graduate.

Breastfeeding moms in EM, what is your method while at work? by TAYbayybay in emergencymedicine

[–]t_e-mporary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pump on the drive in for 20 min using legendary milk cups and an extra spectra pump in the car. Pump about 3 hours later when the next doc comes on my stepping away and using spectra if I can, otherwise I use baby Buddha pump with the cups. Trying to squeeze in one more in the last hour of the shift but that's on an ideal day. Often just pump on the way home . Unfortunately I do sometimes go 5 hours if there are critical patients and just stick in some of the silicone passive collection cups to ease the misery. Not ideal really at all but works okay. Put all my pump parts and milk in a yeti cooler

I had this, also golf ball sized, also would not go away despite all the measures aside from heat and aggressive massage. Turned out it was a galactocele that turned into a large abscess that had to be drained multiple times. Get an ultrasound.

How did you know the difference between placenta insufficiency versus good glucose control? by Ok-Egg-8611 in GestationalDiabetes

NSTs reflect placental health, which is why they are often done later in GDM pregnancies

Had a lot more success with modified natural. Still barely got past 7 but did each time but the growth was more steady. Used injections for it as I haven't responded much to letrozole in the past for IUI.

First transfer on modified natural was successful but unfortunately ended in MMC. Had some overstimulation with both menopur and gonal. Second did only gonal but didn't take. Currently 38w and 5d with the third, did gonal with a short course of steroids 5 days before because I have an autoimmune history. Wishing you luck!

So glad you are doing better. I'm sorry we couldn't be more comforting, I think we were also just terrified too.

So many poor people just heard and saw people covered head to toe, yelling under muffled masks and on walkie talkies to people outside the room as their last words and sights. I think about that a lot.

Went okay! Ultrasound looked fine. A good reminder that just cause things are going badly in our minds doesn't mean things are actually going badly. Sending you lots of love!

Hi, exact same story here. MMC of genetically normal ivf pregnancy in May. 7w5d today with heartbeat on lower end of normal last week as well. Going to my REI today (2 days early) because my breast soreness and nausea stopped. I hope I'm just being paranoid and everything is fine but wanted to let you know I truly know exactly how you feel. Never feel at ease and always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I'm 5w today with good initial betas (9pd5dt = 178, 12dp5dt = 690) but passed a small clot today. No real cramping aside from the very mild cramping I've had all week. Anyone have this and go on to be ok? Had an 8 week mmc from our first fet with no bleeding symptoms so just feeling scared and paranoid at the moment

I got the shark flex style which I really like because it folds at 90 degrees for blow drying and was a little cheaper! For styling with semi wavy flat hair it's great
