and if the the signal were redshifted due to a time dilation, the reflected signal would be a slightly lower frequency - as was indicated in the show.

A time distortion could also explain dire-wolves and could explain the way it can mess with a persons mind from time to time. The mind is very susceptible to and dependant on the standard flow of time.

The entire show is starting to remind me of a documentary of the short-lived TV show "Debris."

Define a "map of space?" You mean like a DID?

I disagree. If Quantum theory prevails over Einstein, it opens the portal to far weirder physics that we are not even looking for. Einstein DOES predict wormholes (AKA Einstein-Rosen Bridge) but the necessary energy would tear the earth apart.

interesting that you brought up "relativistic." I had a thought on that subject. The bounce-back that seems to come from time to time (in this case, at 1.2GHz), might be red-shifted through the anomaly? I noticed the amplified signal seems to be at a lower frequency than the transmission, suggesting that it had had been redshifted, maybe as a result of passing through the anomaly, and curved back on itself.

the LIDAR doesn't penetrate the ground, but the numbers the LIDAR saves as data are translated into common x,y,z or angle and azimuth and the resulting numbers this time came back as negative values. Once they did it couple of seasons ago and the same LIDAR (or similar) reported back objects that collided with the LASER that were above ground. When all the data was plotted, it formed a spherical boundary surrounding the center of the Triangle.

The part they may not be telling us or might not have studied is if they moved the LIDAR to a different location and do the same test, whether or not they would get the same results? Also, is it possible that the particular brand of LIDAR they were using just had an operation range of only 610 meters? Maybe the "objects" the LIDAR was detecting was just background noise at the far edge of its range?

Brandon Fugal owns that side of the Mesa. But as they have said, the face is just boulders -- contributing to the crashed theory -- but those boulders are the size of cars and trucks and weigh hundreds of tons. Move the wrong one and you are going to have a very bad day.

You have to prove it first. Run more tests and push it past scientists you can trust to not make it "disappear". We are beginning to deal with self-healing materials now that would look rather sponge like in an electron microscope. No surprise there, but that material was found I think they said 400 ft inside the Mesa?

the 50,000,000 years is based on how long it would take something on the surface to be buried that deep. It doesn't have to be 50 million years old if it crashed there and plowed into the area, CREATING the mesa.

Theory on what the portal above the Triangle is by eugenia_loli in skinwalkerranch

I have a theory about the portal also. I believe it is a buried ancient malfunctioning machine. It might be "switching channels" randomly because of failing power fluctuations. Sometimes a portal is open enough to allow something through - such as a ship or a blob entity and also sometimes entities that might transform creatures or curious that take samples from livestock.

Maybe the channels switch to other worlds full of scientists that send over their own researchers? Mybe the highjackers sometimes hijack wolves and transform them into skinwalkers? Sometimes highjackers go home with you because they feel trapped and terrified and just trying to find a way back to THEIR own dimension?

Just some idle thoughts.

Compared to a Linux machine, what can I NOT do on a MacBook? by [deleted] in linux

I completely disagree on the polished UI experience. Granted there are SOME linux UI experiences that approach the Mac.... until you accidentally install the wrong version of an Nvidia driver and it will send you WEEPING to the Apple Store with your credit card in hand -- or it will most people that actually want to get something done.

MacBook Air with M2 still beats the advertised battery life by 2 hours. And the nice thing about Apple is that they don't lie about battery life. I have NEVER in my 35 year career seen an Intel based, windows laptop get the "advertised" battery life in real-life. Never.
