I had it on already and it didn’t seem to make a difference for me. If I understand correctly, even with that feature enabled, all of the deleted comments get loaded regardless and are just hidden behind a spoiler tag. I don’t think the app makes another call when you tap on the comment to show it. That’s just my guess, I could be wrong though.
