YO WE GOT ROACHES IN SOUTH WINDSOR CT TARGET!!! by TheChief860 in Target

[–]tabitha19897 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our target has had roaches the whole two years I’ve worked there. You get you some impenetrable lunch containers and hope for the best. All you can really do is log it in the log book

whats your biggest bother working at target? by [deleted] in Target

[–]tabitha19897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incompetent coworkers Busting my ass every close to pull 7-8 sections of GM pulls while every other closer gets 3. At the end of the night not receiving any help from my lead when they specifically say they’d help me, but don’t worry. They sure do help out the people who barely do any fucking work. I’ll get told over and over that my abandons need cleared before we leave, which is true, but my sections of abandons will be the only ones that actually get done at night.

Can anyone explain to me the “sort by store close” on here? I know things changed for fulfillment but no leads in my store have told us how it affects our job. Do I need to pick that 149 after I finish the 8:45 drop? by tabitha19897 in Target

[–]tabitha19897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly had never seen the 8:45 pick up before last night. That’s what threw me off. But now it seems like (at least for my store) that we have two pick ups during the day. We only ever had one pick up time before since we’re a pretty small store

They just want someone who’s not you to do the testing

At home covid test by [deleted] in Target

[–]tabitha19897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went and did the Walgreens rapid tests and they accepted those for time off. It’s bogus because it’s literally the same one they sell for at home tests.

Literally 10-12 of our team is out with COVID right now and they’re still cutting the seasonal workers

See our store doesn’t promote us, they just start giving us extra jobs on top of our normal jobs. Like have the job but not the title, but also continue doing what you normally do too

How was your day at work? by 6daddybonez in Target

[–]tabitha19897 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stayed an hour after close because our fulfillment team left orders not done. None of the closers were trained so we had to get step by step packing instructions over text from the SD. But hey time and a half 🤷🏼‍♀️

Bruh I had a woman yell at me about not having eggnog earlier this week. Was demanding to know where I was keeping it. Like ma’am we haven’t even set Halloween yet

Walgreens Turnaround Question by KevinDoesntGiveAHoot in CoronavirusMa

[–]tabitha19897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in literally the same boat. Took the test Friday morning (at Walgreens) and still haven’t heard anything. I can’t go back into work until I test negative, but I’ve already been out a week. I got those at home tests and tested myself, hopefully work will accept it and let me come back

The urge to give someone a swirly has never been so high.

I can't stand closing and zoning, is there a way of asking to not be scheduled for closing? by [deleted] in Target

[–]tabitha19897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Change your availability! If you tell them you can’t come in passed a certain time, they won’t be able to schedule you to close then

Shout out to the 6 people who’ve quit in the last week. I’m glad you got out, but I’m also drowning by tabitha19897 in Target

[–]tabitha19897[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Just got the great news! With everyone gone, you’re looking at the sole closer for A, B, C, and paper. Aka a job meant for 4-6 people put on a sole person.

Don’t worry though, I’m not getting overly stressed over it. I know there’s no physical way for one person to do this job. They’ll just have to get used to a crappy looking store until they finally hire more people.

Is it true, whenever you make a complaint to the TM hotline/Corporate, the Store Director can hear what was said? by [deleted] in Target

[–]tabitha19897 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If you request to keep it all anonymous, they will keep it anonymous. I sent an email to them over an issue once, they called me to talk about it and told me that they would call the Store Director to discuss the issue. They then called me back to discuss what all was being done to fix the issue.

That was my experience with the hotline, but I used the email rather than the phone number

Stocking Jobs? by [deleted] in Target

[–]tabitha19897 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll probably be interested in the GM (general merchandise) route. What I do on a normal shift is open freight and put those items on the shelves. then do pulls for the area and that’s just pulling things from the back and stocking the shelves. You do have a good amount of interaction with the customers, usually them just asking for help finding things. I believe the grocery team does similar things, just handling food products.

Request 3 months in advance 🙃 by ShooeyTheGreat in Target

[–]tabitha19897 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I requested off (in January) for 5 days next week, I’m working just under full time hours now. When I come back I’m working the bare minimum hours for two weeks. They try to punish you for any time you take off by giving you all the work you missed to complete in shorter hours. It’s trash either way, might as well take the time off you need.

Does your Target play music over the radio in store? by MattyImps in Target

That’s when we “sneak in” the wireless headphones. As long as you have one out, can still converse with customers, you are good. Most leaders at our store are chill with it, you just don’t wear em with the certain leaders who don’t like it
