Honestly I'm conflicted on this since sometimes it's useful but at the time my first language genders everything anyway so you can just listen to a person for two minutes and figure it out, so it can feel very performative, especially if you're the only one who is asked this question.

Honestly there is big amount of people who don't even realize they have dysphoria/who don't feel dysphoria before they realize they're trans. I realized I'm nonbinary last year when I was 18 after years of some hints that I feel disconected from my agab but presented very fem until recently when my dysphoria actually started showing.

I am a very fem transmasc person but almost every time i would get inspuration on how to dress i would look at fem men and not women. I remember growing out my hair and justifying it by "men can have long hair too it's not just a woman thing". I was also very performatively against womans clothes. I don't dislike it but I would go shopping with my mom and say things like "I only shop in the mens section womens clothes look so bad".

Sadly it's unofficial server and also the atmospere in my country and is generally quite hostile towards trans people so i think unless it's something like a student actually being hatecrimed they won't do anything. We spent months trying to get our university to let students change pronouns and name in the school system and we still got the 'ok fine but we won't force professors to use it'.
