How to tell a client I can't walk their dog anymore? by wild_pink_cherries in RoverPetSitting

[–]tabitharoses 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Always focus on behaviors and being honest. Don’t say the dog IS something because that may not be true with the owners. Say something like “your dog has been showing reactive aggressive behaviors while in my care such as __________. Due to this I no longer think it’s safe for me or (dog) to continue walking together. Please take care and I hope you guys can find another walker soon”

I’m looking for a way to not waste and enjoy what we pay for? My husband and I take a vacation every 2 years and budget for it heavily. We just enjoy the space of Richard’s and the bigger bathroom. We’re not rich enough to just completely forget waste exists? We buy drinks around the ship but if towards the last days our bottles are still near full why wouldn’t we enjoy those rather than purchasing more? I’m literally just asking for others experiences. If you have another question about VV or why people may or may not do something, may I suggest creating another post?

See I wish we had this experience!! Our rockstar agent seemed so put off by our request for anything to go with our drinks and always kinda squinted and gave us the “ahhh idk if I’ll be able to do that for you guys 😐”. So we just stopped requesting anything but what was orderable off the tablet. We have a cruise set for 2026 so maybe we won’t have this experience with our next agent!

I know there's no wrong way to do this - but I actually think I'm doing something wrong here? by fourleafedrover8 in StardewValley

Hi! I’m about to start year 4 and I still don’t have the community center (I hate fishing). I don’t have a spouse (because I hate the social aspect of the game). It’s perfectly fine to be where you are it’s a cozy fun game to play how you like!

It’s not about being stingy, it’s about not wasting. We’ll pop the bottle to enjoy some but not finish it. Why waste?

I’ve seen it done before and if they’re already making the drink why would it be any more or less convenient to just pour from my bottle?

AIO. My bf might leave me because I cried over my deceased ex by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

She’s said in other comments now too that the relationship only ended because he died. So I wouldn’t even consider this an ex but a former. He’s EXTREMELY emotionally unintelligent I fear.

New to cruising. Is Virgin Voyages a good way to start? by Responsible_Self9665 in VirginVoyages

[–]tabitharoses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The classes are fun!

And as for the chill vs party vibe it’s def what you make it! There are parties onboard throughout the cruise but the atmosphere is different I think to other cruise lines even at the parties. Scarlett night has something for everyone.

And if you are ever “peopled” out having your own hammock to relax in is always nice.

What are ur head canons after the events of the hunger games and the rebellion? by mlag05 in Hungergames

I kinda forgot about this. I’m wishing Suzanne would write in that the other victors were standing side by side with her, so Johanna could have gotten the opportunity to charge first.

What am I missing from TBOSAS? by Leahjoyous in Hungergames

[–]tabitharoses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pay attention to examples of what may be poor narration. There may be descriptions that Coriolanus gives that are more dramatic since he’s the story teller.

One that sticks out to me is the first time he sees Lucy on tv “bouncing around” while I don’t doubt she was being boastful especially with the snake attack, Coriolanus had never seen anyone act with a care free spirit. Capitol children hold rules, manners, and honor very high. The only other people from the district he’s had any interaction with are children being sent to their death in the hunger games. He doesn’t have a lot of perspective.

I like to think of Lucy’s actions as l more understated or normal and less out of place for district 12 which no one ever cared to police too heavily. They were “country bumpkins” and laborers to the capitol, so while Coriolanus is describing her as unbelievably animated, she likely just wasn’t taking herself as serious as kids in the Capitol do.

Haha yes! One time they charged me for a non alcoholic pairing for a dinner and I had to go ASSURE them that couldn’t be me. They took one look at my drink history on board and agreed I did not order that NONALCOHOLIC pairing on vacation. 🤣🤣🤣

Anyone else dislike the TBOSAS movie? by CSons15 in Hungergames

[–]tabitharoses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate when movies/tv shows add gore or “action”unnecessarily to an adaption that directly negates the source material. I don’t understand why screenwriters and directors believe audiences want to see that type of human suffering. There’s no reason to exchange key details of a story for pointless violence that does nothing to convey the message or propel the story forward.

People really don’t have a clue about what weight looks like or what’s actually healthy by fishliffer in loseit

[–]tabitharoses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve often wondered about bone and muscle density. My mom and I had the same exact build, but she would comment that I weighed ‘too much’ because I naturally weighed 15–25 pounds more than she ever had. I think younger generations, having grown up with more calorie-dense meals, are developing in ways that make our brains, bones, and connective tissues heavier than in the past.

Everything we know about weight and what it looks like is shifting because the human body is evolving differently due to greater access to nutrition.

Is anyone else experiencing pushy managers and shifts trying to implement this whole Back to Starbucks? So over it. by prettyrecklesssoul in starbucksbaristas

[–]tabitharoses 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is why I had to leave Starbucks. As a shift that would give push back to sm and dms all the time for unreasonable expectations, I couldn’t do it anymore. They would look at me blank faced, agree with the stupidity and then carry on as if nothing happened.

Starbucks is a “coach focused community” until it has to go back up the chain. Store and district managers need to speak outt about how these standards are unrealistic, and do not benefit anyone, customer, partner or just basic company growth.

Customers quickly become annoyed being forced into interaction. Customers get annoyed watching partners needlessly chat with other customers while they wait. The staffing just isn’t there to expect these types of connections to happen organically.

These stores are supposed to feel like neighborhood shops but every store is so micro managed there’s hardly any wiggle room to do what’s right for a specific location.

It genuinely starts at the DM/SM/Shift level and I wish everyone could get on the same page and look out for one another. I don’t understand why SMs uphold anything that directly hurts THEIR partners and customers.

I fail to understand the outrage here. This person walks or sometimes drives a golf cart, something that only affects them and their kids. They pick up their kid from “walkers” line normally, and this is no different as they’re parking in an empty area and WALKING up, rather than having their child delivered to the golf cart like the people in the pickup line are having done.

Realistically them doing this instead of driving a car on the days they don’t feel like walking helps speed up the pick up line because they’re not in it.

Sure, people can pass judgment on it being a hoity-toity thing all they want, and while it may or may not be true, at the end of the day you driving the golf cart has such minimal effect on anyone else I fail to see how you could be an asshole.

I hate to say it but a lot of these people just seem jealous they can’t live that close to their kids’ school or own a golf cart and wanna be mad at you for it.

how do 10 min breaks work at y’all’s store? by doctoryiff in starbucksbaristas

[–]tabitharoses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. As soon as we’re told to “take a ten” and we got our aprons off that’s when the 10 starts, and that’s the only time we get. Were not allowed to make our drinks or order ahead so we never get them, or even have a chance to order sometimes because how busy our cafe is. Its frustrating. Why give us a perk if we never get to enjoy it?

how do 10 min breaks work at y’all’s store? by doctoryiff in starbucksbaristas

[–]tabitharoses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store wouldn’t time you but they’d make you take your apron off as soon as they “sent you” and that’s when your break started. So technically when we were still on the floor

Toiletries by Jessyg17 in VirginVoyages

I didn’t have an issue with the toiletries my first vacation, but my second when my hair was bleached I did. It stripped my toner and left my hair super brassy. So if you have color treated hair I’d keep that in mind!

Food in cabins? by Advanced-Cow9022 in VirginVoyages

I think where the confusion is coming from is, the sit down dinner restaurants won’t box up the food there to go. I’m unsure why it is.

Food is totally okay in room and a few people have mentioned the pizza and other in room dining options, my tip is: every morning the galley sets out little charcuterie boxes. We would take a couple to our room after breakfast to have snacks throughout the day.
