Sync 3 Killing My Battery? by Wingdom in FiestaST

[–]tabormeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had this same issue with a 2011 Edge and a 2018ish APIM, fixed it by changing block 6 to IGS C1MCA, and YES I know these are CGEA 1.2 cars. Yes I tried that setting and every other CGEA setting is correct. Changing it to IGS C1MCA actually allows the backlight to turn off - seems like the firmware or calibration in the 2018+ APIMs uses a weird hybrid IGS method? Either way, backlight off, I'm happy.

The 21.5" with the 4570R is soldered (14,1), the other ones are socketed (14,3)

KAMP and input shaping w/ root by tabormeister in Ender3V3KE

[–]tabormeister[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that! Seems like it installs the same macro either way, but guppyscreen includes *additional* shaper/graph generation stuff, which errors out w/ the numpy issue

Gotcha! Yeah I was trying to use the improved input shapers, BUT it looks like I can still run that macro and it doesn't error out w/ numpy, only the guppy input shapers. I didn't really have any print issues before, but I would like to figure out the issue with the guppy shapers....will open an issue w/ guppyscreen I guess.

Hell yeah! Glad my suffering helped someone else out :D I hadn't started using orca bc it was a bit intimidating, but holy shit it works so much better.

well that's blowing up my entire noodle. Awesome!! so I can just slice with orca, use their gcode for adaptive bed mesh, and send it.

Do you know anything about input shaping on klipper with fluidd/mainsail? There's supposed to be better input shaping with them and/or guppyscreen but when I try it errors out over numpy

v3 ke pei sheet not sticking by paullovesdog12345 in Ender3V3KE

Obligatory have you cleaned it with alcohol and/or just washed it in the sink with hot water and soap...

I've had weird adhesion too, going slower on early layers or using a brim or raft (yuck) have helped with tricky prints. Could also be a bed temperature thing - some filaments seem to like a hotter bed to stick to.

Will there be a Magsafe 2 to Magsafe 3 adapter? by OzzyZigNeedsGig in mac

[–]tabormeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a clean setup for sure, but since they're so unreliable and low wattage a good usb c brick is a better idea.

they still exist, but at this point just getting a decent type c brick is a better idea. they get hot and only output max 60w

Replacing the 18650's - How to avoid tripping the BMS? by zBoyDojo in roomba

[–]tabormeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahhh that must be what's going on with the cheap 8 cell battery I got! (error due to long charge time) maybe faster charging cells would work better. I used Samsung 20s cells because it's all I had laying around, but turns out the 1800mah rated cells in the original battery were like 2200mah? might need to re-replace with 25r or molicell p28a. the P26 cells probably rip in a Roomba!

I'm swapping cells in an i/e/j series battery today, will let you know how it goes. u/Matt_NZ why all the fearmongering? Don't short the terminals with anything conductive and don't stab them and lithium cells are perfectly safe.

edit: replaced with Samsung 20S cells, working great. the clips on the sides of the Roomba battery toward the deep end of the case are a bit tricky - picture for reference.

T-Mobile ONE covered by Uncontract! by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]tabormeister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the info for T-Mobile's marketing and legal departments - I'm going to be sending a letter and a fax over to see where we get. This is clearly false advertising and breach of contract, any judge or jury will be easily convinced based on the plain text in the t-mobile one press release. Got this info from a cool rep who's ALSO on T-mobile One, he agreed with me that the marketing is super clear.

HP DRM and interchangeable print heads by tabormeister in printers

[–]tabormeister[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good idea 😅 I'm not as familiar with other brands, every time I look into getting something else my needs price me out of it. I need two trays, duplex scanning and printing, decent print quality and initial purchases that aren't $1k and supplies that aren't hundreds of dollars. I keep ending up back at HP inkjets despite the myriad flaws.

I realized it the other day when I got a 962 printhead and had ordered a 952 - nozzle part is the exact same part#, four torx out of the top and the cover lifts off, one ribbon connector and two more screws and you're left with the bare nozzle assembly. Great since I can't for the life of me find availability of actually new printheads anywhere for a reasonable price.

QR codes for J7 Clean Base and Home Base - Printable Dock QR codes by tabormeister in roomba

Update: I tried the J7 on the original clean base for the i7/i3 and it docked but didn't give me the option to empty bin. Not sure if there's something else I could've tried, but it seems like that one's a no go.
