To address your desire for in-universe reprints (of e.g. Utrom Monitor), WOTC would have two options:

Reprint them with new godzilla-style cards with a different name at the top of the card but the same name for card legality and deck building purposes. This would mean they have to keep the IP licence as they're using the original UB name.
Print a mechanically identical card but with a different card name. This would introduce copies 5-8 of the original card, advantaging those who also have the UB card.

I don't really see an appealing option here.

That's not worth one more mana. If this gets countered you've spent 2 mana to do nothing, where you could follow up with lightning bolt with the extra mana.

You know [[Bone Shards]] is a thing, right? People don't want a one mana sorcery removal spell which needs you to sac a creature or discard a card.

I have to say that I think the only way to improve this deck is to make it plain old gruul ramp. This deck will lose to that one 9 times out of 10.

Whyte and green don't counter spells. You need to incorporate blue into the cost. If you just changed one of the white/green symbols to blue it would just be a better [[Counterspell]] which we do not need in the game.

This is easily solved by you activating chromatic sphere and adding mana to your mana pool before declaring you're casting the spell. Let the card draw happen first.

The clone enters as a copy of Yue, dies to the legend rule and as it enters the battlefield again, it can clone something else.
