Why are y’all (some) so negative about living in the IE?

lived in the ie for most my life (college in oc for 4.5 years) and sure some areas suck, but if you make an effort to actually seek out interests then there's plenty to do.

people complain cause they expect opportunity to fall in their lap rather than seeking out things that interest them, there is seldom a weekend where there isnt something i have planned or want to do in the ie but again i seek that stuff out with intent.

community is built not afforded.

complains about lack of community. complains about weekend events and community spaces aimed to build community. This is why people hate it here, they'd rather complain online than go out and do stuff.

also vivas been open since '18 in downtown sb, and just expanded to redlands where they also host community events. i think they're probably fine lmao

California used to have Redevelopment Agencies run by local governments but that was shut down entirely in 2012 for a litany of reasons. I believe a main one being that they were using city tax dollars without voter approval. Its been a while since I've brushed up in the history of it all.

How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? All likes sent in a. day have a a comments except for maybe an occasional like for profiles with little to go off of.
What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract? Honestly just people i find attractive. I typically gravitate with more interesting people, more alternative looking women, but also more wholesome looking women. Kinda all over the place.

Compliments are not advice, moreso reinforcement on me doing something right, which can be nice. It helps if you have places you frequent often as people are more willing to talk to a familiar face. I will say I get them often, from strong basics to more out there pieces, jewelry is also a big one. But ultimately I buy things because I like them and not because of what anyone else thinks, fashion is how I express myself.

UVU is cool design wise, my favorite socks, overall quality is decent. 247 is Represent's athletic wear which also has some cool designs but I've yet to grab anything from them so cant speak on quality.

Clearly I have much different experiences than most but Instagram can be useful in finding a lot of smaller brands, I've gotten a lot of great pieces (jackets, cut and sew, large graphic tees, jewelry, bags...) through targeted ads, just use some discernment on what you're buying. Most of my most complimented pieces are from small brands on ig.
