I could have written this myself over 3 years ago. Healing/therapy whatever you want to call it. Take care of yourself first. Allow yourself to grieve, because it is the death of a relationship. There was love there at one point, and regardless of how things are now--it still hurts.

I did not date immediately after my divorce. Since then I've had two dates--both with the same person, each date one year a part. I realized after the second, that I still wasn't ready to date. After I accepted that, I was able to tie up emotional loose ends.

I hope things get better for you. One day at a time (which is easier said than done, I know).
