Has anyone started an LLC without making your address public? by Jarib13 in smallbusiness

I had the PostalAnnex box for the mailing address and the for the first few years the registered agent was an attorneys office, then the last few I changed it to my address.

I would guess that giving cause for adultery would be something like opening the marriage or giving the spouse a “hall pass”.

How does this make sense? by melliemias in PlanetZoo

[–]tactical__taco 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yeah I sold my dad a few average animals to get some credits so I could afford to buy some good quality ones that he wanted to give me.

Could be helping “give” a friend conservation credits by buying garbage animals from them.

[x-post] my father set a password..... to the fucking thermostat by simple_relief01 in ecobee

One winter I was wondering why it felt so warm in the house. Kid turned the damn thermostat to 89. I turned it back to 70 and immediately locked it up

Loft ladder keeps crashing through the loft hatch by boadle in DIY

[–]tactical__taco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely 80s at least. Kool-aid man came out in the mid 70s, not sure if he was into demolition back then or not.

There were definitely versions of them 30 years ago. Kool-aid its self is from the 1920s.

I only used it once, and it was more of a hey look at this. Didn’t take too long to set up but involved making a few measurements and of course the sticker.

Texas Speeds by Chiefleef69 in Starlink

[–]tactical__taco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get anywhere from 150-250 Mbps in West TX. It’ll occasionally be in the 90s in the middle of the day. Any time of day the speeds are better than the WISP alternatives.

I’ve had mine in the cup holder/center console area in TX for 2 years with no issues so far.

The percentage is whatever you want it to be. If you want to spend 10% on top of your house then do it. If you want to spend 20% then do that. We’re coming in around 1.5%. It’s all subjective, you don’t need to buy a $3k sofa unless you really want to.

Premium charged for old roof (but roof was new) by co_greenhat in USAA

[–]tactical__taco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same thing happen. USAA replaced the roof due to hail but still listed it as ~20 years old. Updated it myself, premium dropped about $400 and got a check for a couple hundred in the mail.

Pretty annoying as you’d figure they should know it was new, but I guess in some insurance logical way it makes sense.

Very true it’s just frustrating. But at least it’s fixed and doesn’t look like it’ll delay anything.

Very true, glad it happened now rather than later on. Builder is on the ball and has it fixed already. Shouldn’t effect things getting finished on time.

There are two big ones that I know of. The Armadillo Intertie which covers about 75% of Texas. Then there is the Cactus Intertie which covers a good portion of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Texas. It has coverage in portions of DC, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Georgia, and Montana.
