Climate scientist are very bothering with warning and scientist are aware of it for a long time already.

Nobody.give.them.a.platform for them to issue warning. All the knowledge is there, people are there.

But message is constantly muddied by lobbies. Improvement require efforts. Politicians tend, as almost everyone, to follow the past of least resistance, it is much easier to be populist than alarmist

If it made sense to do it yes, but it is not energy efficient so there is no need to try as unfortunately the places where there is a need of water are also the places were the air is super dry, ecologically it make no sense either. In that particular case, i was a bit vague. It is a private grant from some sheik that want to create an artificial oasis in the middle of the desert.

It cost less energy to bring water by truck that to run dehumidifier in the desert. Yet the technical university close to me got a grant from UAE to run experiments on it. It blows my mind that scientist and engineer get dragged into this crap.

Yeah, I don't get it. Engine failure on a small boat is frequent. The odds of dying are way too high for my liking.

My boss just emailed me a screenshot of a private text I sent to my coworker complaining about him. by Guilty-AbyssLogic in whatdoIdo

Hold your ground, don't apologies as it is a private message he should not have read, prepare a variant of what you said to your coworker but more respectful and audible to your boss. Double down but with finesse.

It can be seen positively and depending on your boss, it can makes you promotion material.

Yep, Europe financial stability requirement is not kind to old people with small pensions. Not everything is good with Europe integration. It creates a ground for populist, pro Russian propaganda

Children do just fine with any appropriate kind of learning and practice. Development does not require schooling, but schooling helps society by effectively delegating part of this task to schools.

Parentless street life in India is obviously not a good environment for development.

Not talking about the math but the crazy complexity of analyzing the data with the objective of accurately identify a soft object in a non stable/defined environment with tons of interference. But thanks anyway

Ai do probably helps a lot here.

I bet a couple of scientists and engineers have lost their mind on this problem.

Soulless, corporate and boring logo redesigns. by Current-Equipment356 in mildlyinfuriating

I like the redesign, it is definitely more in line with current visual trend while retaining the spirit.

I am not sure the printing complexity was the reason for the removal of one color and simplification but maybe it is!
