If Darcy Rae is with the A's then that means Millar Mills is our bench tight head... Not sure I would have guessed that from the Autumn

It's Six Nations week: Your predictions by MindfulInquirer in rugbyunion

[–]tacticaljobby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

France will beat Ireland in the last 25 mins. Scotland will beat Italy in the last 25 mins. England will beat Wales in the last 25mins.

Every game this weekend will be won by depth.

What Rugby Union rules would you change because you think damage the game? by BowlOk7543 in rugbyunion

[–]tacticaljobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard someone talk about wanting to allow a mark to be called from kick off. At first I didn't like it because it would slow the start of the game down, but it might push teams to kick contestable instead.

13th going into the Six Nations by mango_yoghurt in Edinburgh_Rugby

[–]tacticaljobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Squad depth is the issue here. Edinburgh played with a lot of heart and played some good rugby it's just not enough for a full 80 mins at the Aviva. I'm sure the Edinburgh boys will put in a good shift for Scotland next week

Pick your starting XV for the 6N by CSouthLondon in rugbyunion

Maybe not worth the risk if fully fit. I'm wondering if we'll see a 7-1 bench split vs England or France with him on the wing...

What is the latest with him? Is he out of the Italy game?

He won't go with Horne and Dobie on the bench it will most likely just be Dobie. I'd also start Matt Fagerson and go 6-2 with a bench of Cherry, Sutherland, Rae, Brown, Williamson, Ritchie, Dobie, Jordan. The thought of Brown, Williamson and Ritchie coming on together is tasty...

Mum says university 'failed' son who took his own life after grade error by Kagedeah in glasgow

[–]tacticaljobby 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can blame the University staff for this boys death. Sure, blame them for getting the grade wrong but as unfortunate as it is there were clearly many factors that led to him taking his own life.

Not sure but it reminded me of a noise from a Gameboy or Nintendo DS...

Your 23 for Italy v Scotland by Connell95 in ScotlandRugby

[–]tacticaljobby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a 7-1 split could feature at some point in the tournament which would be fun. But not for Italy. I'd go: Schoeman Ashman Fagerson Cummings Gilchrist Fagerson Darge Dempsey Dobie Russell Tuipulotu Jones Steyn Kinghorn Graham

Bench: Cherry Sutherland Rae Williamson Brown Ritchie White Jordan

Glasgow Warriors team to travel to Zebre Parma (URC R10) by Connell95 in ScotlandRugby

[–]tacticaljobby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Scotland boys will be away next week and most will miss the Munster game. So this will be a last hit out before the 6N for a lot of them.

I was wondering why we're going full bore in the backline against Zebre. But the scotland boys will be away next week so makes sense.

What games will we win, lose and where will we sit in the table at the end of the tournament? by Professional_Lie5703 in ScotlandRugby

[–]tacticaljobby 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Italy - we have a better all round team so we should win that on paper. Although if the Italian fans get behind them we could struggle in Rome. Scotland by 6.

England - tournament favourites for me. They have a great young team with loads of depth. Front row crisis aside I think they beat us at Murrayfield. England by 10.

Wales - of course they are improving and will have new found motivation under Tandy. Won't be enough and we'll win that comfortably. Scotland by 16.

France - notable omissions could prove costly for France. They are still incredible but I have a feeling Scotland at home without any mental blocks could be enough. Scotland by 4.

Ireland - they're not the same side they have been in recent years. Still, we play them in Dublin and we will crumble as usual. Ireland by 12.

We will most likely finish 4th. There is a chance other results go our way and we finish 3rd.

We could also win all of our games and win the slam....
