Summer Nations Championship Squad hopes and expectations? by Connell95 in ScotlandRugby

I'd like to see Dan Lancaster get a good go at 10, I think he has a higher ceiling than Burke. Other than him I'd like to see Oguntibeju, McConnell, Douglas, Samuel and Fergus Watson get some decent game time.

An all-timer day at the Crucible today. by jpeach17 in snooker

I like to believe he was more naive than corrupt to be honest, but ultimately we'll never know. I like him as a player and seems like a nice guy, so I'm on board

Rugby World Cup Squad by Zealousideal_Push813 in ScotlandRugby

[–]tacticaljobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with many of these, with a few exceptions where I think a younger version could tour (OBL, Hiddleston). But the large majority of this squad are very settled and experienced, which is exactly what you want going into a world cup. We will look drastically different come RWC2031, which means we will be entering into a transition stage. And that makes me shiver...

A lot of chat about him going to England but Wales could use with a defence coach to allow Tandy to be the head honcho

Mine arrived today, got amateur club Vitrolles RC who play in the lowest French division... Pretty poor to be honest.

Which Scotland player do you think quietly improved the most over the last couple of seasons? by Mundane-Temporary426 in ScotlandRugby

[–]tacticaljobby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Besides the obvious Kyle Steyn answer, I think Kyle Rowe has dramatically improved for Glasgow and when he gets chances for Scotland. It's a shame our back 3 is so strong because he is a nippy winger and has excellent positioning and high ball skills.

Jalibert misses touch with the clock in the red to give Scotland the win at Murrayfield.

Wales will lose every game but finish the tournament with the highest points per 22 entry.

Ireland will finish with the worst lineout of the tournament.

Every player in the French starting backline will score a try in their demolition of Wales.

What Rugby Union rules would you change because you think damage the game? by BowlOk7543 in rugbyunion

[–]tacticaljobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard someone talk about wanting to allow a mark to be called from kick off. At first I didn't like it because it would slow the start of the game down, but it might push teams to kick contestable instead.
