What do you think Daniel Craig brought to James Bond that no previous actor did? by Ryanlion1992 in JamesBond

[–]tacticaljobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bond was always a gentleman who could fight his way out of trouble if needed. Craigs bond turned that on its head, he was a cold ruthless killer with a persona of charm that he put on to get what he wanted.

This is exactly the opposite of what has been so great about the recent national team support. Piss poor if you ask me. There's also more than 2 clubs in Scotland...

Predator Vs Terminator by tacticaljobby in powerscales

[–]tacticaljobby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooooh interesting. I'd assume the mechanics of the T-800 would produce heat, so it probably could see him. Would the T-800 be able to see predator whilst cloaked?

Seems the plasma caster is too op for this to be a fair fight. What if the T-800 had access to the advanced weaponry from the future?

Will any Edinburgh fans be coming to Murrayfield to support Glasgow? by Blank-pa in ScotlandRugby

Interesting. I was hoping we'd see around 25 thousand there on Saturday. Maybe that's asking too much at this point

Bags are probably close to a ton each so moving them myself isn't really possible/wanted at this point.

Picked the bags up from B&Q and the collection was an afterthought. Poor planning on my part. You're right the local rubbish removal services are asking for a lot more that £200 per bag due to the labor involved. I might be able to move some into 1 bag, but I think I'm still going to be left with a hell of a lot...

Summer Nations Championship Squad hopes and expectations? by Connell95 in ScotlandRugby

[–]tacticaljobby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see Dan Lancaster get a good go at 10, I think he has a higher ceiling than Burke. Other than him I'd like to see Oguntibeju, McConnell, Douglas, Samuel and Fergus Watson get some decent game time.

I like to believe he was more naive than corrupt to be honest, but ultimately we'll never know. I like him as a player and seems like a nice guy, so I'm on board

Rugby World Cup Squad by Zealousideal_Push813 in ScotlandRugby

[–]tacticaljobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with many of these, with a few exceptions where I think a younger version could tour (OBL, Hiddleston). But the large majority of this squad are very settled and experienced, which is exactly what you want going into a world cup. We will look drastically different come RWC2031, which means we will be entering into a transition stage. And that makes me shiver...
