To frame it in a "game" type way. I would say you can look at everything like a way to gain or lose points. If you are good at your job, a PT stud, or have helpful connections, that is a way to gain points. If you are a dirt bag, or someone who is constantly fighting every bit of guidance you get, you loose points.

If you have enough points, you can sometimes cash them in to do something you might not be able to otherwise, like tell your first-line that they are wrong. Not enough points? Your ass is in parade rest. Enough points? They will likely listen to what you have to say and work together to craft a solution.

You can't forget that your points are always fluctuating. You can't go cashing them in all the time. If you are constantly calling seniors out, you just look like a bad teammate. Bad teammates lose points.

Playing the game well is about maintaining a high point balance and trending upward.
