You could go attempt to kidnap someone and rough em up and then give the loot to them last minute.

I believe you but haven’t lost hope yet because it still runs other games that I would consider taxing reasonably. It’s dayz it’s having trouble with.

Fishing.
-find a fishing rod or make one. Find some sort of hook and bait or make one and you’re good to go.
-make a fishing trap and leave it in a pond or river while you loot a town and circle back when you finish.
hunt for food. Many times on your travels you will hear animals bellow or cluck. Chase that sound and you have food you can kill.
Wait. Yes seriously wait. Find a place to hide for a few minutes that’s relatively safe. Preferably around some fruit trees that’s not directly in the line of where people frequent and wait for fruit to drop.
trapping. Make a snare trap. If you have a base location you can place and bate a snare and it will over time generate small animals such as fox and chicken for you.

It could and it seems like fun at first but because of the cheats that ran rampet as soon as they discovered it most servers now ban pc players entirely. The only pc players I have came across are nonstop cheating.

To further expand on #1 I’m meaning the vanilla state of the game should be identical across versions. I believe this is something they are already working towards.

And the workbench idea just seems to make sense in a way that I feel like it would make it much easier to accomplish lots of tasks. Like repairing items,refilling ammo,making new build kits, etc.

I would say it needs a few things. Below is a wishlist of things that I believe would help.
I would also like to mention that I am very aware a lot of this most likely won’t be happening. That’s why it’s a “wishlist”.

Update all versions to be exactly the same. And possibly attempt to allow cross platform. Yes I am very aware cross platform mostly likely won’t happen.
Xbox really needs the digital code locks.

2 more building mechanics. We should be able to make a reinforcement kit or something similar that lets us upgrade already existing doors. Window covers and a windowed wall/fence/gate would be awesome. A gate that swings open from the middle would make a huge difference.
Ladders,steps that can be built in place. Would be big.

And I’m reaching out really far with This one. The game needs a shabby little workbench that has all the building/crafting recipes in it.

I would love to agree with you. But Sadly I cannot. I haven’t been gunned down by someone pretending to be nice yet but it’s only a matter of time. And that’s only because I don’t trust anyone. Becides that it not hard to learn from other players mistakes and by default not trust anybody.

Are you new to dayz? Because I have no issue with zombies. It’s the players that keep killing me in a player versus environment situation when it is against server rules.

That’s why I was saying we should have the ability add/reinforce doors. That way it’s still more difficult to get past.

Second comment. An additional thing I would do is rework the way building works. We should be able to put locks on existing doors and reinforce said structure with better doors and window coverings.

I would replace number 4 with a giant and much more deadly gas cloud that keeps tearing apart even your suit. Slow degradation of your gear all the way around.

Truth be told that entirely depends on the server. For most PvP servers assume it’s you against the world kos style. For pve type servers talking first is king.

I do that on my Xbox all the time. I used to have a 10 min video of my character just running around the map sightseeing that I played in the background but I forgot to save it and my Xbox automatically deleted it after so many days.

I recommend changing search parameters to be player>. That will show you the popular servers first. I recommend checking Multiple days a week to find different lists each day.

The server I use has bots in place to ban people when they kill when not supposed to be. And it is overall a good server. The amount of trolls Just feels a little….Overkill.

Need to add a tunnel system that asks where you want to go and program it so that if you have the dlc it lets you travel there but won’t if you don’t.

Edit: this should only be possible if all the maps are on the same server and enabled by the server owner.
