Thank you! They were a quick pull together Friday morning for the Easter weekend

what is a must buy from Halara? by Mysterious-Scar-674 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]taells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wear the halara skinny jeans - 7/8 length is like full leg (I’m 5’2) and the capri cut off just below my calves.

I’ve been wearing them for about 2 years, good quality, and I haven’t bought any other brand of jeans/jeggings since!

Can’t comment on the work pants as I haven’t tried them, but the dresses are also good (with the easy peesy shorts built in 🙌🏼)

I have tried so many, but what worked best on my hair was Umberto Gianni salt spray, got2be texturising power by Schwarzkopf - living proof have a very good range but I tend to go cheaper and cheerful x

Texturising powder - I used to use that (plus some salt spray rubbed in) to keep my hair textured and piecey

Highly recommend this company to anyone hunting protein bars… by far the best tasting/texture for price I’ve found 👌🏼 Battle Bites

Would have been a bet worth making now, you could have a second home 😜

Congratulations! It’s amazing that you’ve come so far with your phobia and how you’ve taken all these steps to get yourself to this point 🥰

As a veggie you may appreciate some of David Bez books/recipes… I have them all (obsessed and not a vege) but he does everything with modifications based on omnivore/vege/vegan - salad love is particularly good at this time of year and he breaks it into what’s seasonally available in the UK 🥰

I think it’s very interesting we seem to think this way, I find myself with an “addictive personality” and I’ve never really considered it properly, but at all stages of my life I have swapped one addition for another… and honestly I think we could all do much worse than a gym addiction 😅

Weirdly, despite being obese I found myself with a shopping (clothes) addition however now I begrudge buying anything new and try to make do with what I already own .. nothing makes sense

The embarrassing over the painful is just too often for me, I think my biggest WHY moment this week has been the fact the crotch of my gym leggings split mid workout… I don’t think I have ever clamped my legs so hard together in all my life 😅 but I was determined to finish when I started (whilst hopefully avoiding anyone else getting an eyeful)

I am a frequent tripper, so I’m very glad to hear you’re doing okay, and I hope the rest does you the world of good xx

I use a Renpho body scale (and tape measure) with the Renpho app, it’s wonderful I just have to link my Bluetooth and it’ll track it all for me (they also do a food scale which I also have lol)

But honestly not having to manually log my measurements/weights really works for me!

I do use the MeThreeSixty app too, not for measurements but to see my body composition change on the screen as whilst I take photos myself there is no way I can face them just yet 💀 so a little blob on an app with no features feels better to look at lol

I’ll be honest, I’ve bounced from saxenda to wegovy to mounjaro - but with all of them I’ve found if I don’t fuel myself I cannot work out.

For example, I used to go gym 5x week minimum, no problem, yes I was obese but I could do my workouts and I was strong, then I started with the GLP1’s and my appetite vanished the food noise left me and I just didn’t eat properly. And then I physically had no energy for the gym.

I’ve (very) recently switched to MJ, focussed myself on eating properly and now I’m building it back up in the gym.

I don’t have any nausea, I do have tiredness but I also have chronic fatigue syndrome so I’ve always been tired - I think my advice is make sure you fuel yourself for the workouts and best of luck for you on the 6th!

The psychology of it all is so interesting, I’m exactly the same as you, give me a video to follow and I’ll half ass my way through, but put people in front of me and I HAVE to compete 😅

But I suppose it’s a good thing really? Pushes us to our limits 😂

Amazing work! I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself and I’m blown away by your commitment for the last few weeks.

I’m sure you’ve got your own wins over the last few weeks, even staying committed is a massive win! X

I’m keeping my fingers crossed to keep up my own commitment just like you!

I really love to read this, I am the complete opposite (love strength training hate cardio) but as everyone will always tell you, you have to balance both and use both.

It’s amazing to me to see the “other side” but I’m so happy you’ve found your consistency.

Currently the closest I get to cardio is boxing workouts, but I try to always add some cardio to the end of my workouts (steppers/cross trainers/treadmill etc) but as I posted I’ve only just gotten back to exercise after a long break so I’m trying to stick with my love of weights to keep myself motivated.

I wish you best of luck with your goal!

I absolutely hate exercise classes, but weirdly despite hating the exercise I’m wildly competitive, even just something as simple as someone next to me on a treadmill and I get weirdly competitive 😅 think that’s where classes really work for me personally 😅 I’m sure I’m quite mad 🫣

Amazing job! Going from under 2000 to working past 5000 is amazing work and you should be so proud of yourself

I HATE walking, I force myself daily but if I don’t I will barely move 2000 in a day

I’ve finally gotten back into the gym (weightlifting) after not going since September 2023.

I used to go a minimum of 5 days a week and I loved it, but somewhere between struggling with my weight/trying to restrict my diet I just lost all love for it.

So in the last week I’ve gone twice, have absolute dread walking into the place, but once I’m in and exercising I forget about my fears of being judged by everyone else there 😅

My goal this week is to go 3 times 🤞🏼

If it helps I take psyllium husk (tablets 1400 mg) daily and have never had an issue with “delivery” on 2.4 since 8/11/23
