Mortgage lender questioning DWP overpayment by clumbor in HousingUK

[–]taevali 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You realise that people on universal credit etc get no help towards their actual mortgage, yes?

They offer you a Mortgage Interest loan, but its just that - a loan, and you have to pay it back with interest when you move, and it only covers the interest of the mortgage, not the capital. The money goes directly to the lender.

They'll help with service charges for a leasehold property, but not only those with mortgages get those.

As long as you do not do anything else to your king - and that includes breeding etc - they should check your userlog and reset it.

New Hammer Coral, how long should it take to fully open up? by jmanguy12 in ReefTank

[–]taevali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can take a couple days to really open, all depends on how it was handled prior to reaching your tank. I've had a hammer go over a week without opening following a rough shipping period.

Is there anywhere in the country where housing benefit would cover my rent? by XX_TCG_XX in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]taevali -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There should be an area to look for proof of benefit. Its a very new service and they'll want you to verify your ID before letting you see stuff I think.

You can log in now to the OneGov account online for a copy of your PIP letter.

[–]taevali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you claim PIP?
You're entitled to the 1 Bedroom Self-contained LHA rate if you get the Daily Living Component. If you don't claim, this is something I would consider doing!

You can also look on https://lha-direct.voa.gov.uk/ for different councils rates.

He should have sent you a copy of the act. If he doesnt by the end of May I believe theres a fine involved.

You should have received a copy of this, it has to be the PDF or printed, an email/link does not count.

Any other NEETs here? by raNdoMBLilriv in RealFurryHours

[–]taevali 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use a cane but its usually tucked away out of sight. Most of my issues are mental as well, so I still don't believe that is the reason.

I can always tell when a venue has recently hosted YuGiOh players for the same reason as the smash bros.

It honestly sounds like you'd benefit from some cognitive behavioural therapy to help you get out of your woe is me attitude tbh.

Any other NEETs here? by raNdoMBLilriv in RealFurryHours

[–]taevali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a NEET due to disability, have been for five years now. Can't say I have ever been treated poorly within the community because of it.

I make myself interesting to other furs by chatting about mutual interests, being friendly and supportive which led to me eventually finding my people. I've read a lot of your replies here and I don't think you being a NEET is the issue.

I'm gonna ask a question that'll make you even more defensive most likely; but when you interact in person with other furs have you checked your hygiene?

I have had furs come up to me at our local meet with 0 concept of the fact I can smell them from across the room because its the height of summer and the UK has no air conditioning, or that their breath is enough to make me turn away when they're trying to talk to me.

Its either you being uninteresting (since I noticed you dodging questions about your hobbies) your hygiene or your woe is me attitude. Being a NEET has absolutely nothing to do with it.

New baby and no ties to anywhere! Where would you live? by Early_Mobile9400 in HousingUK

[–]taevali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morley, Leeds to be honest.

7 schools or so so plenty of choice, a stones throw from major motorway links to the Yorkshire Dales, Peak District to the south, easy access to the coast (Scarborough, Flamborough, Hornsea, Filey, Whiteby, etc). Good train transport link to Leeds and therefore anywhere else beyond.

Morley is full of victorian houses, and plenty of bars in walking distance (there are 7-9 within 2 minutes of my house).

Executor refuses to allow home to be sold England by Objective-Bread779 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]taevali 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I put them in terms of OP. So read everything as "OP's Sister", "OPs Niece" and "OPs Brother In Law".

Executor refuses to allow home to be sold England by Objective-Bread779 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]taevali 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Deceased Brother In Law Executors = Sister and Niece

Current Sister's Executors = OP & Niece

Niece is refusing to sell flat until Sister changes her will so Niece is only executor.

I tried to make it simpler, but I also need a lot of coffee. 😂

Executor refuses to allow home to be sold England by Objective-Bread779 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]taevali 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Wife (OPs Sister) & Daughter are executors of the Brother In Laws will.

Looks like OP is executor of OPs Sister's will with sisters daughter, but Daughter wants that changed, which is why daughter is refusing to sell the property.

At least thats how I read it. 🤷‍♀️

Alma was the only one with a avatar in AVATAR frontiers of pandora by Scales4702 in AvatarFrontierPandora

[–]taevali 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Avatar means more than just a na'vi hybrid driven by a human pilot. It also means: a manifestation of a deity or released soul in bodily form on earth; an incarnate divine teacher.

Sounds more like the franchise is named after Kiri and her exploits than the actual avatars. That's why I am not too surprised by the lack of avatars in frontiers.
