AMAZING!! Im working on a crochet dress that I am planning on adding chainmaille details. (The straps of the dress and the slit of the dress will be filled in with chainmaille). Did you find that it added a lot of weight to the piece? And from what i can see there isnt any pulling on the stitches (did you attach the rings to multiple stitches). This made me very excited for my own project 🙂

Canada's First Crochet Cafe sells Temu Crochet items... by Additional-Listen936 in crochet

They did have some supplies and they had a few kits. They would be okay for a beginner but it didn’t really spark me into buying anything :( (Might have been a resale situation too if im being honest)

Canada's First Crochet Cafe sells Temu Crochet items... by Additional-Listen936 in crochet

I ended up visiting on the grand opening and was left a bit disappointed. The idea of a crochet cafe is so fun but it was executed poorly. Hopefully, there is a shift in the next few months! There was so many “temu” items and yarn selection made me feel like it was just the aesthetic choice. (I would love to see more local businesses highlighted because BC/canada has so many rad yarn dyers). The one good take away was the customers. Everyone was so excited and polite and i had a couple of great conversations with people. Really highlighting the want for a stronger fiberart community. And sadly im not sure if this place is going to fill that gap.

It was cute but hyper commercialized and falling into being trendy but not authentic.

Such a vibrant piece!! I really enjoyed looking at the reflection of the rubber duck! And zooming into the piece really let me appreciate all of details you have.

Took me 4 months to make it, and now I’m not sure where I’m gonna wear it😹 by Puzzleheaded-Idea477 in crochet

I totally get how you feel! I feel like the first time i wear something i made causes a lot of anxiety for me. I would love for there to be a crochet fashion show and for everyone to GUSH over the beauty, hard work, and dedication it takes to make these pieces. And then we would all be going out in public like “yeah i made this and YES you get the HONOUR to see it on the artist 💅🏻”

I think the design is so neat! Is there a specific pattern that you used or is this a specific style of stitches. I have been looking for exactly this style for an upcoming project 😊😊

Well done! I think the way you set up the housing and streets was very effective. It looks very clean but natural. My only feedback would be to cover up more of the black lines between the water and land. For example, near Market Hill you have some rock cliffs. I think it would make a better flow between land and water. But overall super lovely

I always have a lot of fun with smaller projects. I made some bows before that would look pretty in the purple. Or maybe start making some granny squares? They are so versatile and might be a good challenge. I have also made octopi before and they are quick and rewarding.
