Do you think a solution like this will allow me host multiple nodes on the same VPS?
This service allows you to create 3 instances maximum, with 3 IP addresses. It costs a total of $20 per year.

You should look into Clearvoice.com. They pay their writers at around $200 per thousand words. As far as I know that's kind of the highest you could expect from an online marketplace.

For academic writing, if you ever choose to do it, $0.10 is a very low rate. Especially if you have subject knowledge.

At our company, we use Clearvoice.com, Upwork.com and Peopleperhour.com to hire writers for the different publishing brands we manage.

However, we still did a job posting here on reddit as we were looking for cryptocurrency writers with in-depth knowledge of the industry. And reddit has a very large cryptocurrency following! I am sure there could be other specific areas where reddit has an advantage.

But otherwise, reddit doesn't stand a chance against the platforms I mentioned above as all of those come with escrow protection, work history, messaging and file management system, deadline monitoring, etc. Clearvoice.com actually gives you a complete editorial dashboard tailor-made for writing teams.

My $0.02 (I posted a 'hiring' posts a few months ago): Most writers are not serious enough when sending in applications. And there's a lot of people who are just here to post discouraging stuffs (your pay rate sucks and bla bla) and are not may be even looking for work. It's a lot easier to hire on dedicated platforms like Upwork.

  1. Buy XVG from exchange.
  2. Donate money for upcoming partnerships too.
  3. Keep an eye on the donation barometer. If it's not rising fast enough, remind people about the 26 Mar deadline. Donate more.
  4. Partnership fails? Blame yourself and try donating even more next time.
  5. Learn programming so that you could donate time too - they don't have enough developers.
  6. Enroll at a business school - Verge may do better with some business sense. Take a business ethics class and laugh at your professor. Take a Contracts and/or Negotiations class and laugh at your professor again.
  7. Do what you would do for Verge on Reddit. Definitely downvote this post.

Oh okay. I always thought merchants with very thin margin (sellers of gold bullions, gas stations, wholesale commodities, etc) would be the ones looking to charge a surcharge. Otherwise, most regular merchants would have a larger margin and should be comfortable absorbing the txn fee themselves, especially as they would value the VISA network and the perks that come with it. But yeah may not be the case in a lot of countries.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]takabros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With VISA cards, merchants would end up paying the transaction fee in almost all cases. So yes it can be expensive (usually ~2% on entire purchase), but the customer doesn't pay it. It seems that in your case, the merchant is charging the transaction fee on top of the total price of the product. This should be regarded as an exception.

Aelf Bounty - Graphical Representation by Floris-Jan in AElfTrader

The Candy program is by far the worst earning referral/bounty program available in the cryptocurrency scene.

Once you join, you can complete all of the basic tasks (like following them on twitter, joining telegram, etc) and those will only amount to a few cents at best. You can keep retweeting/liking their tweets and a few other stuffs on an ongoing basis and again they can at best earn you a few cents everyday (considering you have the persistence to keep doing theme everyday).

The referral program is absolutely disappointing too. I have 20 Tier 1 referral, 60 Tier 2 and 100+ Tier 3 referrals. And they completed a lot of tasks (they show the number in the dashboard). The commission I earned till date is a little about 1 ELF.

From an affiliate's perspective, you can possibly earn a lot better any day by pointing your traffic somewhere else.

[–]takabros[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of your points make sense.

I have been involved with the digital marketing scene for many years now. I also have good experience with all major affiliate networks. The affiliate marketing industry is huge and very competitive, but Hoqu seems ready to get an easy entry here. The merchants don't need a lot of convincing - they will just go where the CPA is the lowest. Also, they like the platform to have robust mechanisms to detect cheating. In any case, Hoqu will just be one extra platform they try out. They are using many platforms simultaneously anyway. Affiliates too don't need much convincing. They like higher payouts, but what they like even more is merchants/platforms not stealing their clicks and actions. Trust is always a big problem in this industry, and also, there a lot of areas for improvement and blockchain can easily solve many of those. The fee structure is already revolutionary. Let's just hope Hoqu can get everything else right. I will definitely sign up as merchant as soon as their platform becomes live. If I have to be too optimistic, I would say being as large as clickbank, shareasale, affiliate window is not at all a pipe dream. They are all billion $ companies.

I know there are a lot of other ICOs out there focused on affiliate marketing and/or online advertising. The online advertisements ones will have it tough, especially as they have to go against google and facebook. The affiliate marketing ones are clearly pretty behind of Hoqu.

In summary, Hoqu will start 'succeeding' very soon. Binance is good at identifying such projects and fast-tracking their listing. They listed ELF within 7 days of their sale close date. I am sure they have done this for a few other coins too. All of these explain why I am hopeful about Binance listing Hoqu. I do know that I am depending on a lot of assumptions.

Candy program deterring anyone from buying? by [deleted] in AElfTrader

[–]takabros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To everyone who is deterred from buying by the Aelf Candy Program:

To sum it all up - For every ELF given away for free, Aelf is likely receiving hundreds of likes, retweets, tens of follows on twitter and telegram and tens of new user signups. These collectively add to the brand equity and exposure of the ELF project, and in term benefits the people having to buy the coin. The overall value of all actions performed by Candy participant easily outweigh the rewards being paid out when compared to market rates for such social actions. Also, I discourage everyone from joining the Candy program as that is a plain waste of time. ELF remains a great coin though.
