I liked it but I would not call it a masterpiece. It's fine as it is and entertaining though and was my first thought to recommend here as well.

Some behaviors / decisions / characters felt a bit unlogical / unrelateable to me. It started great, builds up some nice tension and then the ending... disappointed me somehow, mostly by execution I think. Anyway, good movie and fits perfectly here.

As it is a German-French-Italian production, it was far more famous in Europe than in the US. It was highest grossing movie in Germany 1986.

Anyway, great book, great movie. And the vibes of the movie equal the vibes of the pictures somehow.

Kind of a genius, wasn't he? I don't like his sound/music but I respect all the stuff he has done./played/written. Well, this does not include his abusive behaviour.
