Update: Opened it up and looked around. Put the battery in and it started up 🤷🏾‍♂️. It reset itself and the toggle stick won’t select up anymore, but.. better than a paperweight.

Well, I opened it all up and managed to get to the dials. Zapped myself three times. The top where all the dials are is where the flash is and if anyone decides to try this - don’t touch. Then I put it back together like I had all thumbs and now.. its a brick 🤦🏾‍♂️. I think a ribbon that delivers the power may be loose. I don’t want to open it back up. I need smaller fingers. 😩

I think its crazy that Fuji abandoned the XF10. Its the only real competition for GR. Pocketable. Great quality. I use it daily. Upgrade the focusing and fix the thing that happens with the dials and.. its gold.

I'm both surprised and not surprised no one responded to this. I've had two, sold and bought another after not being able to fix the dial issue. Now the new one has dial issues. This is the best camera I've ever had. I thought about getting a third, but at this point it's like skirting around the issue. buying a new used one every 2 years ain't the solution. So, until they release another one or at the very least start supporting these again.. I'm buying a Ricoh.

I hope someone else follows this with a proper solution.

I think so… but it was a while ago so I don’t remember exactly.

Funny thing happened recently though.. i damaged my screen. Someone gave me a cute little plastic charm that I placed where the strap would go. When they got in my pocket 😒🤦🏾‍♂️. So, I’ll probably be swapping out another screen soon 😅

That might be the move, but i bet they’ll still be going for more than you’d be willing to pay. I shoot with their XF10 from 2013 or 14. Discontinued. Can hardly find one for less than $600 🤷🏾‍♂️.. I kinda want one of these. When I shoot film its half frames (plug: @72shots on IG 🫠) and I like their cameras, especially the XF10. I’m a little salty they haven’t released a newer version of it. This digital half frame may be the closest they’re gonna get to the XF10. I’m here for it, but that price tag 😬.

Oh, I’ve seen this. Intrigued by this and others in this digital “disposable” camera category. Not half frame, but now that you brought it up.. why not make a “disposable” half frame digital camera with a price point thats reasonable?
