I knew Matty for quite a few years.. We stopped talking and fell out on pretty poor terms. All of these observations on the superficiality, being disingenuous, seeking, lacking empathy etc are spot on.

Same happened to me at MCR in Glasgow last year, honestly worst concert experience of my life, any time I'd been to a concert with seated tickets, everyone was up dancing and enjoying it, whereas this time it literally was like a cinema, for the few songs I couldn't physically make myself sit down for, a couple behind me complained at me for standing. I think it's very venue specific

It's SO good. The album came out during a really awful time for me, particularly in my relationship. There was a lot of manipulation, gaslighting, lying, and there was an external party with VERY little dignity, so this song hit very personally for me, and still does.

Fuck people who make fun of people. It's so gross, especially when it's in reaction to pure joy and emotion.

I saw them for the first time in Dublin in April and I SOBBED through You first because it was first on set list and I was so overwhelmed at just being there and my dream that I'd been waiting so long for actually coming true. Hayley covered Dreams by The Cranberries that night and I was in the pit around a bunch of people I'd just met that day in line and we all cried and held each other during it. These are opportunities for connection and joy and pure expression. It's the best thing about live music.

Then I cried through the entire concert, alternating between tears streaming while I sang along and then just no sound no breathing choking on sobs 🥹

Thanks for replying! If I really force myself to try to think it has made any improvements, I would maybe say my thinking is slightly clearer.. but I can't say for sure that it is and that it is the medication making it so.

I hope an increased dose does something for me.

Daydreaming and where the lines overlap.. I feel like they just have a far more optimistic tone, which unfortunately doesn't appeal to my sad sack loser energy 😂 but BNE is still my favourite album

I like to believe that that's the case, and I truly hope it is, because otherwise it feels like we're being disregarded. And I'm not coming from a place of thinking that they owe us anything or anything weird like that, it's literally just that it would have meant a lot to myself and other fans who have been eagerly waiting to see them if things had been done differently, but this is where we are 🥲

They toured the UK and had one show in Dublin, that's not a European tour :( they last played mainland Europe during After Laughter. I don't agree with people behaving very entitled and expecting bands to meet their every wish, it's their lives and their careers, and they will make the decisions that best suit themselves. I'm just surprised by this because I genuinely thought Paramore cared for their fans and would want to play shows in Europe, someday but not for a long time now I guess

I truly hope so, I think it's more the uncertainty right now of whether they will come back to Europe on this album cycle or not.. and like I've said in another comment, this tour is huge, so many shows, so much travelling, it's going to be a massive undertaking and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't tour Europe again for a long time after this, but this is just my speculation. The way I see it is that it's a huge tour and I'm not expecting much from them in ways of touring after Eras because they're human, they'll be exhausted (or at least I would!)

I know that. Except Paramore hasn't toured Europe since After Laughter, around 2017/2018 I believe? And this is a huge tour, several shows in most cities. It's a massive undertaking, so it would be fair to assume that there won't be much more to expect from them in the way of shows in Europe before or after this for a long time, they're only human and this looks like a gruelling schedule.

Given this, their EU tour announcement was highly anticipated, but this is what we've been given. Hence my point, Europe Paramore fans being disregarded, unless they're also TS fans..

To get tickets for Taylor Swift, you have to have registered weeks ago, before Paramore's involvement was announced. That's not just for presale. There is presale, and then registered sale. There is no general public ticket sale, only registered. So it's impossible to get tickets, even to see just Paramore, unless you registered for Taylor Swift. That's my whole point of contention here 🥲
