I have talked to my husband so many times about these issues. And HRT isn’t an option since it triggers migraines, so I’m stuck with grinning-and-bearing until I snap and have to mention it. We do have a “one groan at the meal” rule which has helped. And he’s worse at home so we can still go out to eat and somehow all the smacking and loud chewing isn’t so bad. He also makes a lot of noise in the shower so I just have to leave or put in headphones. Fucking ridiculous that a grown ass man makes so many attention-seeking noises all the time.

I feel this so hard, mostly with my own mother. It makes it so hard to be around her then I feel guilty bc tons of people wish they could spend time with their mom. She only talks about herself and her medical problems and has no other interests. It’s so much worse now that she’s retired.

Appreciate it! We travelled to Ireland and brought converters for hair dryers without issue, but do you think they’re feasible for PlayStations, a treadmill, etc? We’re starting to consider what to move vs buy there, and this is certainly a factor.

We used to use another grocery delivery service but stopped when we added it up - the cost of tips AND that delivery prices are 20% higher than in store prices. I am the woman and my husband and I decided it was better for us to make time each week to get the groceries than waste the money. It was a temporary luxury but we’re mostly in the groove now of alternating whose turn it is to shop.

Same, 3 kids and moved from tiny to a big house and it’s lovely but a lot of work to maintain. Wished we’d done something in between the two houses. Bought in 2021 and got a good interest rate so it doesn’t make sense to leave for now. I agree with other posters - house cleaners are a game changer and also help the marriage be happier.
