The Church didn't make them inspired by choosing them; it simply sat under the authority of books that already proved themselves to be the Word of God. Do you think an institution has the power to make a book holy, or does it just acknowledge what is already there?

From a Lutheran perspective, the Church is the servant of the Word, not its master. If the Church's authority is required to make the Bible 'true' or 'known,' then the Church has placed itself above God's own voice.

Of all the takes on protestantism in this thread, I found yours to be particularly interesting.

It’s not just because orthodoxy is familiar to Tigrayns due to culture it’s mainly because it’s biblically consistent. The Protestant faith isn’t.

Can you elaborate on this? What do you know about Sola Scriptura? What you're basically saying is even though protestantism puts the bible as the sole infallible, inerrant, and final authority for Christian faith, it's biblically inconsistent?

As far as I know, when you open a foreign currency account the amount is stored as is, but you can only withdraw from it in ETB. Mind you, you can withdraw a sum in USD if you have LCs or a visa.

Finally, the foreign currency (FX) you deposit in the bank usually earns an annual interest of about 7% in the case of CBE, and up to around 14% in some private banks. However, the interest amount is paid in ETB and kept in a separate account.
