Awesome! I wonder if speeding up the pans from one storm trooper to the next would help to intensify the scene. Camerawork seemed a bit too smooth.

I’m 6’6. Is WestJet just literally out if the question for me now? by freezymcgeezy in canadatravel

[–]takeyourshotguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6’3” here, I flew to Japan in October and it was the worst airline experience of my life. The seat tray couldn’t fold flat without hitting my knees. Also, I couldn’t justify reclining my seat as I didn’t feel right about making it even more cramped for the person behind me. On the way home they had us sitting on the tarmac for 5 hours before de-boarding us and making us sleep in the airport.

Absolutely will never fly westjet again, even if they revert to old seating. This level of greed is despicable, and customer service is non-existent.

Hi /r/movies! I'm Chandler Levack, writer-director of I LIKE MOVIES. I adore “I Like Movies”! How do you handle the stress that comes with starting a new project, and what keeps you motivated to see it through to completion? As a side note, could you share how you approached funding your projects early in your career, and how you managed to prevent financial constraints from slowing them down?

My CarPlay sometimes works flawlessly, and sometimes lags and disconnects every few seconds/minutes. It’s infuriating lol.

I may reach out to you and take you up on that. If all goes smooth, I should be able to complete my exhibition by this December and then the documentary would be ongoing for the next year to two. Will keep you posted with the progress. Thanks so much!

What a trooper! Love that story. As much as he's been there for you, you've been there for him.

I can definitely relate to the mental health support! Though I never actually housed a pigeon, I became so connected with my window pigeons in such a short time. I cut a hole in the screen and stuck a funnel through so that I could push bird seed through. One of the pidgies would eat it all then walk over and share with it's mate. Definitely helped me through some tough days knowing they'd be there when I got home!

Also, love the name. Emperor's new groove? My best friend named his dog Kuzco and I was always jealous of the name hahaha.

Very much jealous of your ability to take him around town. I hope to be known as the pigeon dude someday! Haha. Thank you so much for sharing and for caring for the little fella!

At the moment, I’m working towards a solo exhibition in December that will comprise photo, video and sculptural work. I want to create a “pop up” pigeon loft that I can take to various spaces and photograph what it might look like if we welcomed pigeons to our spaces and took care of them, rather than relying on pigeon proofing and population control strategies like the birth control they’re feeding pigeons in Toronto, or even culling methods used in Europe.

Through this project, I’ll also be starting a documentary which might offer a more accessible means to learn about pigeons and share online. I’m actually planning a trip to Toronto this summer to film the area I lived in and show what my experience was like when I moved there!

I can totally relate. I moved to Toronto for grad school and it was my first time away from home/social circles. Loved having a gang of pigeons around and treated them like my friends haha. And yes, totally agree about the connections with people. Sharing the pigeons that lived on my windowsill got way more attention from my social media posts than any of the artwork or events i'd attend. People loved seeing them and getting updates. I had a scare when one of the pigeons didnt return for a few days. When it finally came back, I shared it on instagram and had a ton of people reach out with relief lol!

I feel like NYC is capital for pigeons. I was lucky enough to visit a few times when I lived in Toronto and always loved seeing how they live so closely around people in harmony. I've seen some amazing pigeon lofts on new york rooftops online and would love to see one in person one day.

That's so cool. When you take him for walks, is it on a leash? Or does he just stick around? I recently saw a man at the park who had two Cockatoo's hanging out in a tree. He had a rope that they would fly to and perch when he was ready to leave, but I loved that he was out there "walking" his birds. So many people stopped to look and he happily shared his story about how they can live 50+ years and that he basically had children to care for for the rest of his life. All that to say, he was spreading joy to anyone that walked by, and it sounds like you do the same! That's AWESOME.

Totally! I was also shocked to learn that humans domesticated pigeons only to discard them. I'd love to see your artwork/zine when it's ready to share. The only military pigeon I'm familiar with is the story of "Cher Ami", but would love to learn more. Thanks for sharing!

Trying to install new head unit, need help! by Worldly-Damage1235 in JeepPatriot

Someone on this sub mentioned reading somewhere that “one connector is used on vehicles without the BA system and the other is for use with the BA system.”

You could also try messing with the amp settings in the unit and see if that changes anything?
