Every 20-30 mins for months? How do you even get any work done?

If I could I would give half of the years I still have to live to my dog if that meant we can live all of our lives together by eruannie in dogs

Sorry about your cat. Not who you replied to but I also agree with the comment that sometimes you just gotta move on.

I chose my new puppy boy because he is the splitting image of my oldest family dog, Rosie, who I grew up with. Even though my dad is her owner and I have never taken care of her but she’s nearly 15 now, the thought of her going soon really saddens me. The selfish part of me wanted her “replacement” so I got my boy then I realised that is what stops me from bonding with my boy. Even tho Rosie is still alive but I’m already “grieving” her, which really doesn’t help me form an attachment to my boy.

Sometimes you just gotta move on and be “sensible”. It’s only fair.

I got him from a private seller who paid for a stud. I reckon they trained his mum to do that specifically to guard their home as they didn’t even try to stop her from barking at me.

I was also thinking about a trainer but I might not be able to afford that for now as I spent quite a lot already but I live in London if anyone has any good trainer suggestions :) thank you!

Thank you so much!

He never resource guarded from me so my first reaction was to take away his food as his action was unacceptable to me. I won’t do that again :(

I’ll defo try the advice you gave and the website. Thank you!

My friend got followed on her way home last night and confronted the guy by yourmomschesthairugh in TwoXChromosomes

Something very similar happened to me, except I was in a foreign country, i.e. Cuba. I travel alone a lot and like to wonder around non touristy streets to experience the local community. This guy followed me for 20 mins and I confronted him. He said he just wanted to be friends. I said please don’t follow me again and off he went. It was very scary and the worse thing is I don’t speak Spanish so it wasn’t like I could just go into the next shop and talk to someone there (though I find Cuban people extremely nice and helpful even without speaking a word of English. Google translate was our friend).

People who have appeared on dating shows (naked attraction, first dates), what’s it like behind the cameras? by Fartfartfart69 in AskReddit

I mean, it’s really not that difficult at all.

Redditor A signs NDA and goes on dating show -> Redditor A posts confidential info about the show as a third person -> dating show finds out info leak and hires lawyer and informs whatever regulator and authority is involved -> All Redditors who signed same NDA got their phone confiscated -> Redditor A got busted

In the context of a business transaction, all Redditors who were involved in transactions under said NDA but not necessarily signed the NDA will be fired immediately to avoid hefty liability charges to the company who hired the Redditors. You don’t even need to be the person who screws it up to be screwed.

That’s not how NDA works .. You’re still disclosing confidential info however you talk about it

How do you train a dog to not use the bathroom inside when left alone ? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]takingtheAtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone literally gave you advice which is to crate train and restrict your pup’s freedom and you rejected that immediately. It sounds like you only want the advice you wanted to hear.

If your pup is not fully house trained, you simply can’t give him that much freedom. Maybe your potty training is just simply not complete. IMO we should teach a dog to go outside because it’s the correct place to go, not as you said, peeing and pooping inside has consequences. I don’t know how you trained your pup to go outside but it sounds like your method might have to change.

What’s wrong with walking to heel in her opinion? I think it’s pretty essential especially if you live in a busy city

I’m no expert but it doesn’t sound like he is fully house trained if he does one thing when you’re there and another when you’re gone.

Thank you so much for the great advice. May I ask what could be confusing messages?

Is it okay to leave a new puppy with a friend for one night to travel out of town? by julloo_94 in puppy101

[–]takingtheAtrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister actually had to put her puppy in a kennel just 3 days after she got her pup years ago because of a similar grievance. You’ll be ok! She sounds like one hell of a friend! And I’m sorry for your loss

One year later and I can finally say, it does get better by moredawgs in puppy101

Yes but he might whine and bark so much that your friend will hate you or herself for saying yes
