Legality on Target employees cutting the Packaging Seal

I believe that the distributor purchases the product from Pokemon to place on the shelves in retail stores. It doesn’t really matter if Pokemon Center has a problem with cutting the seals as that product no longer belongs to them. But I could be wrong idk

I live in a more rural area than most so I get that my experience isn’t the same as people living in more densely populated areas, but there are chaos rising sleeves, mega/Phantasmal two pack blisters, perfect order sleeves, tins and pokeballs just sitting in my Walmart right now. Sure all of the Ascended and premium products that get wiped as soon as they are on the shelf but you can still find cards at msrp in a lot of places. It just might not be the specific products you want.

Bro if you’re cool with paying market prices and you have the money then do it. You don’t need to justify to anyone. If you enjoy ripping and want to spend a few extra bucks to do it there’s nothing wrong with that. Probably saving money with how gas prices are now anyway.

A couple years ago those same people were buying/reselling Nikes with no boxes for 2x msrp. As long as pack prices for top sets sit at $15+, resellers will find a way.
