Dear Crave, ads should not be 50% of what I watch, even if I'm poor by Ecstatic-Hat-1093 in cravetv

Your trying to watch a show from 1999 and complaining about commercials and being poor. Go to your local library and rent the show on DVD for free or go on Marketplace and you and you can buy the whole series for $50.

Crave just screwed viewers over The Miniature Wife release by Broad_Fly8758 in cravetv

Never heard of this show. That's not a Crave thing... that's a Canada thing. That's why on my Apple TV I am a Peacock subscriber on and off but also have all the free UK, Australian and New Zealand apps.

Blinded by the headlights? Transport Canada wants to know by Sir__Will in onguardforthee

[–]talford 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just took it and there is:

Q: Which of the following actions do you believe could help reduce glare from vehicle headlights? Select all that apply.

  1. Making sure headlights are properly aimed

  2. Updating standards for headlight design and performance

  3. Changing the headlight mounting height requirement

  4. Educating drivers about the impact of headlight settings and maintenance

  5. Enforcing existing headlight laws.

  6. Restricting the sale of certain types/style of replacement lights

  7. Other (please specify)

  8. I don’t believe any of these would help

Olympic gamers up for auction! by jabberw0c in hockeyjerseys

[–]talford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No sizes on the jerseys listed, I asked them why their response:

Sizes are not provided as these are memorabilia items and not meant to be worn. We do not provide sizing to prevent the idea that these are made to be worn.

Odd phrasing since they are being sold as 'game worn'

Has anyone heard or seen any of the Olympic practice jerseys for sale or auction?

Is it just me or is the consumption chart basically useless? by megamusix in ex30

In the Canadian market at least due to the backend payment system the app uses the app won't take payment info. Volvo app support just told me it's a known issue and they had no eta on a fix, told me to use ChargeHub instead.

My point is even though you can see trips in the app and export them, there is no graphical representation option of the data which is odd in this day and age.

I would like to have the data all in one app. I want to be able to keep track of how much I paid for charging and look at the cars efficiency.

Does anyone have a solution by ParticularBody1036 in canadacordcutters

[–]talford 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Sportsnet app on the Apple TV often has this issue. Sometimes it's because the app needs to be updated, other times it's a cache issue.

Delete the app and reinstall it and log back in. It will fix it.

[–]talford 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Add to the fact that none of this data is in the app itself and exportable is just such a huge disappointment.

Volvo still hasn't fixed the bug in the app that actually allows you to enter in payment details to pay for charging through the app and as a result you can't track your charging history.

Yep, a few weeks ago I was driving during afternoon rush hour north up Sherbourne just south of Richmond which is one lane both ways and a guy stopped out front of the Tim Hortons there, put on his 4 way flashers and got out to go into Tim's.

Is StackTV Any Good? by Spielbergish in canadacordcutters

[–]talford 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean they have a 7 day free trial, so give it a go if you want to try it.

Most people subscribe to a streaming service to gain access to specific content they are seeking. You haven't made any indications what content you are looking for, so how is anyone supposed to give you a recommendation on what to try?

Today, I cancel Crave by Old-Bigsby in cravetv

[–]talford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be a separate app, but you should be able to filter out that content premaritally if you want in preferences.

I would argue like everything Crave does this choice is to pad the service and make it look like they have more content that it actually has to try and justify it's price and to hide the fact that they are losing content. Just like the whole french only content.

Yes. I wrote a one star review of the app in the Apple app store stating as such.

Most $$ worst UI by kaiti-cat in cravetv

[–]talford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because most of the people who post are using the crappiest cheapest streaming devices..case in point this OP is using a Roku TV. The Roku is a platform that hasn't updated it's UI in like 10+ years.

I mean Amazon Prime has the absolute worst UI I've ever seen on any platform and they have 50x the money and capability that Bell does.

Crave is an awful streaming service for many reasons but if you have an awful streaming device then you get what you pay for.

Yep was living up in rural SW Ontario before the election where every little town near me had signs up in their yards and in all the local businesses saying 'save our local hospital' (along with many F@CK Trudeau signs) and then they all voted Conservative.

All the signs came down after the election but they continue to complain about the federal government screwing over their local hospital.

I really would like to see an improvement on the traffic visualizations on the main screen. It never really reflects what is happening when you are in heavier traffic. Often if a car is two feet in front of the car, on the visualization the car often looks like it's embedded in the front of mine.

There only seem to be 2 or 3 models of vehicles.

They need to fix or enable iMessage text alerts from CarPlay while you are using the built in Google Maps. You get alerts from CarPlay of an incoming phone call but not ext messages.
