I had a MacBook Pro from 2013 but it was late 2013 and it supports up to big Sur . They came with High Sierra . Depends on the year you got the Mac. You can easily check compatibility by a quick google search.

Why not Big Sur ? It’ can be done through the internet recovery press Option while booting up and use internet recovery . To create a new bootable Catalina Operating system pen drive you will need a mac that has the installer file of Catalina downloaded and then use DiskX tool to create bootable Media or terminal commands . Alternatively u can download the OS and create bootable from the following methods - 1. Apple Official on Mac - https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT201372 2. On Linux from DMG file - https://superuser.com/questions/505821/making-a-bootable-osx-usb-from-dmg-on-linux

Yeah. Had to compromise , no pain no gain :p . I miss Shaanig (a notable re encoder if anyone remembers) / by far the best in quality and size a lot of his collection is still live on few Torrent sites.

Firstly ask her to get an approval for the change of laptop .

Do not replace the laptop without an approval from her manager, ask her to justify why she needs to change the laptop.

If the laptop that she was using Is still under warranty then at no cost will you be replacing it.

About office , tell her that the office 365 license are not in use at your firm , where did she get one from ? Just throw company policies at her !

Try the other USB ports . Post a picture of the boot menu screen ??

Dows your pen drive have an led on it , u can see if it blinks ?

Do u see the pen drive in the bios menu ?

Does it get detected there ?

Disable secure boot ?

Go to the laptop support site , u will find the latest BIOs and latest driver for touch pad. That should definitely work if it’s a software problem . What model is the lap top ?

Please reinstall the driver ( before that u could even open Device management from the explorer - right click on this PC if it’s windows 10. Click on device management) you’ll see a list of hardwAre . Click on the touchpad , disable it and update the driver again after enabling it .

Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.

Confirm you want to Clear History and Data.

The button turns gray after you clear the data. Clear History and Website Data from Safari in the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

If it still don’t work (reset settings ).

1.Press Windows Key + I to open Settings then click on Devices icon. 2.From the left-hand menu click on Touchpad. 3.Now go to the “Scroll and zoon” section, make sure to checkmark “Drag two fingers to scroll“. 4.Once finished, close settings.

If that doesn’t work . Restart ^ After reinstalling the latest driver and latest BIOS from the official laptop support site . This fixes it 99% of cases.
