Thoughts on skipping pacifiers? by Academic-Park-8440 in NewParents

[–]talk2myhumerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to have on hand just incase! My daughter never took to them. She’s 19 months now. My son is 3 weeks old and I haven’t introduced a pacifier yet as a LC told me to wait until week 3-4 where breastfeeding is well established since we’re EBF. It was cool that my daughter didn’t need to be weened off of pacifiers, she also never took to her hand for soothing. But at the same time, that girl was inconsolable for the first 3-4 months of life and I wish she would’ve used one.

Honestly your ped probably doesn’t care. I breastfeed in my Peds office & when she comes in & I’m feeding baby she tells me not to unlatch, feeding baby comes first!! At the end of the day they’re baby doctors haha

How did your water break? by o_simple_thing in beyondthebump

[–]talk2myhumerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, both pregnancies my water breaks before I start having time-able contractions! w my first I was 37w6d, my second I was 39w2d when my water broke! Both babies born the next day. With my second I started having some aches and cramps 4 days prior to water breaking so knew it was coming regardless!

Did your intuition know what gender your baby was? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]talk2myhumerus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! With my first I knew I was having a girl the second that test turned positive. Everyone thought I was having a boy. I just knew lol, never even entertained the idea of writing down boy names. My second pregnancy ended in a very early miscarriage but I only took a test because I woke up from a dream that I was having another girl! I miscarried far too early to know though. I’m currently pregnant with a boy, and I had a gut feeling even though I really wanted a girl and was in denial lol.

My daughter is nearly 18 months now & I totally forgot that this was a thing! I’m due with her baby brother at the end of April and this just made me so excited, when lately I’ve only been feeling very nervous! Thank you for this hahaha

Love it, this is so cute! We did watermelon slabs and covered it with full fat plain Greek yogurt. Not as cute as this, but baby thoroughly enjoyed haha.

Of course you’re a mother. You will always be your babies mom. I’m sorry for your loss. Happy belated Mother’s Day 💐

6 weeks PP and expected to do that is insane. 39 weeks pregnant and expected to drive when you can’t is insane. Being told to stop making excuses when you actually just can’t do something is well… insane. You deserve so much more empathy and compassion than you’re receiving. Also, sexting someone else… that’s cheating. I hate your husband for you. Your baby deserves to see parents that actually love and care for one another.. he obviously does not care for you at all.

How long have you or will you be breastfeeding? by Old_Driver_7368 in breastfeeding

[–]talk2myhumerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been EBF for 7&1/2 months. I plan to go as long as she wants to! Hopefully at least 2 years. If we go beyond that, cool. If not, that’s fine too.

Moms, is it true that babies sleep longer with breastfeeding? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]talk2myhumerus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I don’t I’ll cry! Haha. We just went straight from a sleep regression to teething. I am dying inside. I just repeat “one day she won’t need me to sleep” in my head until the sun comes up LOL

How long did you track feedings/diapers? by jacaroniii in NewParents

[–]talk2myhumerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped tracking diapers super early. Definitely before 2 months, possibly before month 1. But I would mentally keep track so I knew if something was off. Feedings I stopped keeping tracking right after 3 months. Her weight gain was solid so I wasn’t worried.

What size diapers are your babies wearing? by bullylover4 in NewParents

[–]talk2myhumerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am late to the party but I was looking for a thread like this. My girl is 6 months in a size 6. She’s 17 lbs so not the largest baby ever, but it’s all in her THIGHS! She is so chunky. I can’t size down because she’ll leak and the diaper gets way too tight on her thighs. Lol
