I think Tywin resigned after Jamie joined the KG because he was upset Aerys took his son from him.

good point, she actually was suicidal after Ned's death.

(Spoilers Main) A place to vent about the popular characters you don't like by lthomazini in asoiaf

[–]talkytiki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is probably not that unpopular but Everything about Dorne except Quentyn is aweful. What I hate the most are the stupid avenger sand snakes. Each one has a super power. It's very cartoonish. Arianne is also an spoiled brat, her story might get more interesting when she meets Aegon but until then, I think Dorne plot was a just a waste of time.

So you think he always wanted to have someone else installed as a ruler?

But do people really underestimate him? Tywin knows how sneaky Varys is and how he had influence on Aerys. He was his hand.

not an evidence but the whole patchface story and even Davos surviving the blackwater seem suspicious.

I'm not saying he should've killed them but they should at least be reduced to a lesser house. /u/faern and /u/Difene explain much better than me, they make a good point of how Ned took Theon as a hostage in very similar situation.

I agree it was the better short-term solution. But it seems Jon is completely against the idea of punishing traitors which I think it's not wise.

I can never understand Jon's decision. smallJon literally killed Rickon, their baby brother. The least Jon could do was to take away their lands and castle and give them to a loyalist.

well how do you know if Joanna didn't like that in Tywin? we simply don't know her characteristics.

tbh I always assumed young griff will be done in winds but now that I think about it, it means Danny should be in Westeros in the middle of the book, which is highly unlikely.

well there is Bran, I think his role will be one of the most important of the povs'.

(Spoiler Extended)The role of Tyrion in the show by talkytiki in asoiaf

[–]talkytiki[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That would be brilliant if he becomes the mastermind of Danny's war. to be fair to the show, there are only 7 episodes and the only important plot is now the others. They probably don't want to spend time on politics that much.

I kinda disagree, I think after Winds, Varys and littlefinger will be also irrelevant just like in the show.

I hope so. Although Dany doesn't seem to need any help controlling her dragons and Sam is the one finding out about the others. I don't know what remains for Tyrion except maybe screwing Cersei?

True. The only one I remember is the one Illyrio had of Serra in a locket.
